Lately I've felt that there's something 'wrong' in Protestantism, as if it was lacking something. I'm quite familiarized with Protestant doctrine, but there seems to be something missing.

I myself wouldn't begome gadolig, I would begome orddodogs from being a Conservative Protestant. Something just seems off and I'm not sure exactly what it is. I simply want to begome orddodogs but I'm not sure if theologically that would be non-heretical as viewed from what's commanded in Scripture.

Pic completely unrelated

becoming reformed could help you fill the whole that is currently in your Protestantism? jump into to depths of the theology of grace, it is full of rich tradition and biblical truth.

We're possibly going through the same process, yeah. Even if the Church of Christ has quite a reasonable dogma compared to other denominations that are dying or theologically unsound, isn't losing membership at high rates, and follows Scripture almost to the letter, there's just something that's not there.

I have the idea that the people that are going to this Church with me are doing it out of habit and spiritual peace and don't live up to its ideals, mostly for what faith alone fails in keeping a limiting behavior in people.

I'm not quite sure about Calvinism. Personally, at least when it comes to free will, arminianism always made quite a lot of sense to me. The CoC has a pretty similar view to it.

Have you visited an Orthodox Church yet? If not, go this Sunday, no matter the distance (if you can get time off for it, should you need to travel). The Orthodox Church is something to be experienced first and foremost, study and understanding of her theology, beauty, and traditions come partially from observation.

I think you'll find that it is the home you have always been searching for, especially since you are adverse to Calvinism.

No, he's me from one year ago.

My path was similar to yours, except I converted from Methodism, and I did so because of a rising tide of heresy and incorrect teachings. I also knew that Free Will exists and so would not go to a reformed church ( I spent a year visiting a Presbyterian church which formed the basis for this decision) and I could see, as you do, the errors of the Catholic church.

Have you considered that it's you who has something missing? Just a thought.

Big tissu though is: are you fine with supplanting standards and scriptures for stories and odd behaviors?
