Pretty disappointed /christian/ hasn't been paying tribute to a fellow Christian who stated Christian truth and is likely to lose his career over it.

Basically, someone posted on the instagrams "what's God's plan for gays" and this Tongan-Australian rugby player who's a somewhat recent Christian convert, says in tl;dr "Hell unless they repent". Very basic Gospel. And I though that from the moment I read what he said. He wasn't being /pol/, he was just stating the truth: we all die without Christ.

But, there's been no end of shitstorm and pitchforks as people seem to want to punish him for being a Christian. And, of course, he dug in and said he'd give up rugby before he'd betray Christ:

He's even since clarified what he meant:

>In the comments section of that post, I was asked a question by somebody about what God’s plan is for gay people. My response to the question is what I believe God’s plan is for all sinners, according to my understanding of my Bible teachings, specifically 1 Corinthians 6: 9-10:

>Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor the drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

>I do not know the person who asked the question, but that didn’t matter. I believed he was looking for guidance and I answered him honestly and from the heart. I know a lot of people will find that difficult to understand, but I believe the Bible is the truth and sometimes the truth can be difficult to hear.

But, sporting executives are wringing their hands about whether to sack him from rugby or weather the storm of the politically-correct class whingeing endlessly that he offended them, while officials are now issuing edicts from "on high" about what players can do on social media, and others are predicting the end of his career:

tl;dr a Christian is under attack for preaching the Gospel truth, yet somehow /christian/ doesn't even know about this. Here is a man standing for truth. He deserves our prayers because he's in for a long, hard road, I'd say.

Based Izzy. Keep him in your prayers lads

They crucify people for daring to speak up against homosexuality, unfortunately.

Bless him. I wish I understood rugby better, I'd watch his team in support.

Those who work iniquity are already gunning for him. Saying it is a chance to kick religion out of sport whether it is just a prayer before and after the match, etc.

So much for “freedom to religion”, I wonder if I will br lynched if I say a quiet prayer before dinner in a restaurant ten years from now on for being “offensive” or “signs of hate speech”.

Whenever someone asked them if they are going to heaven or hell I always tell them its not my authority to judge who goes to heaven or hell… usually when someone asks you that question they are trying to bait you

Honestly this article is one of the truest ever for Christians these days: http://babylonbee.com/news/nation-shocked-horrified-christians-hold-christian-position/

“Christians are allowed to practice their beliefs, as long as everyone agrees with them.”

These people don't even like sport

They just hate that other people do so want to destroy it

Definitely keep him in your prayers. It takes alot of guts to sacrifice your career for Jesus and the truth.

Why do they always ask you about whether you think gays go to heaven or not? Anyway, I would just tell them read the bible or not to bother asking since they know the answer.

>Why do they always ask you about whether you think gays go to heaven or not?

So they can try to get you fired. They act like a mafia. They'll search for people who proclaim their Christian faith(other religions gets a free pass) and they will try to get them fired if they say homosexuality is sinful.
