It’s not wrong, nobody’s stopping you, but it really doesn’t matter. Even if none of the letters were written by Paul, they would still be true according to the traditions preserved in the Church by the Holy Spirit.

There's an interesting theory that it was written by one of Paul's close friends, Priscilla. Her being a woman might have been why the authorship was fully anonymous.

Of course it's not wrong. Scholarly research into Church history is a good thing and should be encouraged.

That being said, it's one of those topics there isn't much more to discover, unless someone comes across the actual letter somewhere, or an early text that references it and who the author was.

But if it's an interesting topic to you, then go for it!
