The weird thing that just hit me is that by his own logic he committed idolatry in the OP, although the logic overall is an obviously a little so he may not see it that way. The closest thing to Christian this view of idolatry reaches is proper BC Judaism, but maybe I'm overthinking a troll idk. To be honest I understand why so many are wary about anime and such things: they are not sins in themselves if they have no lewdness in them, but alas they are still in the same realm of very sinful stuff (sane goes with all media and arta, especially in the modern era and society).

I watch the occasional movie and animated feature, be it from the West or the East, and there are very few nuggets of gold amongst the river of mud: one has to be careful and that is why it’s wiser to just leave it as a “once in a month“ thing; everything can turn into an unhealthy addiction.
