How does /Christian/ deal with neo-pagan perennialist autism?

998458 No.624851

The same way we dealt with paleo-paganism. Preach faithfully God's Word and obey God's commandments.

e94b60 No.624853

You say, lol faggot. And take the role of a skeptic.

works for me. these people dont like debating anyway. almost no one does.

Honestly i have not seen many neo-pagans but strangely more esoteric hitlerist funnily enough

819741 No.624864

They are Larpers that's all. Esoterics as mentioned by >>624855 do practice magic and can communite with other enitites if they try hard enough

I usually just point out how paganism revolves around war but lost a war to us 'cuckstians'. Also how the pagans were gay and cross dressers and pedophiles and stuff like that.

Depends on how ready the person is to actually discuss something or if they're just being an edgy badass. Don't discuss with people who are just messing around.

and we cut down their magic tree

From the Summa:

It can be shown from these three sources that God is one. First from His simplicity. For it is manifest that the reason why any singular thing is "this particular thing" is because it cannot be communicated to many: since that whereby Socrates is a man, can be communicated to many; whereas, what makes him this particular man, is only communicable to one. Therefore, if Socrates were a man by what makes him to be this particular man, as there cannot be many Socrates, so there could not in that way be many men. Now this belongs to God alone; for God Himself is His own nature, as was shown above (Q[3], A[3]). Therefore, in the very same way God is God, and He is this God. Impossible is it therefore that many Gods should exist.

Secondly, this is proved from the infinity of His perfection. For it was shown above (Q[4], A[2]) that God comprehends in Himself the whole perfection of being. If then many gods existed, they would necessarily differ from each other. Something therefore would belong to one which did not belong to another. And if this were a privation, one of them would not be absolutely perfect; but if a perfection, one of them would be without it. So it is impossible for many gods to exist. Hence also the ancient philosophers, constrained as it were by truth, when they asserted an infinite principle, asserted likewise that there was only one such principle.

Thirdly, this is shown from the unity of the world. For all things that exist are seen to be ordered to each other since some serve others. But things that are diverse do not harmonize in the same order, unless they are ordered thereto by one. For many are reduced into one order by one better than by many: because one is the "per se" cause of one, and many are only the accidental cause of one, inasmuch as they are in some way one. Since therefore what is first is most perfect, and is so "per se" and not accidentally, it must be that the first which reduces all into one order should be only one. And this one is God.

Same as we deal with DEUSVULTers and other types of LARPers: you ignore them and pray for them.

c39e4b No.624930

perrenialism is OK.

Neopaganism is gay

c759f7 No.624936

When somebody studies truth and comes to conclusions, and then bases their religion on it, you can make arguments against it. That person legitimatly believes their religion because to them, all their studies of truth point them to that religion.

When somebody likes how something looks and uses it to be cool among online friends, they dont actually believe it and there is no possibility of argueing against it. Even if you can show it's not true, doesnt matter they never believed in it because they thought it was true.

At best you can call it gay and present something that looks cooler in a hope to change their adderal-fried mind

Well put! My very Catholic grandmother used to read to my siblings and I a lot of those old myths from Greece, Rome and other ancient Nations: she thought us that God placed a sparkle of Gis wisdom even in those people, and that there are nuggets of truth and wisdom in their writings (especially since it was the early Christian monks who copied and translated such works to preserve them for future generations).

c68645 No.624949

>>624948

There are nuggets of truth in islam and satanism as well Anon.

7f6095 No.624958

>>624949

Difference is: the pagans did not meet the one and true God, whist both Islam and Satanism are revolutions against the revealed Truth.

c68645 No.624960

>>624958

Yeah I suppose. Though I still see no reason to teach my kids pagan myths when we have the Bible.

7f6095 No.624964

>>624960

She did not teach them: it's more like fairy tales…they have values in them, but we knew unlike the Bible these to be man-made stories. And my grandmother knew which ones were to be kept off limits (as someone who read all Egyptian myths as a teen and found enough to satisfy his weird kinks, I'm glad she was not guilty in any way).

c68645 No.625011

>>624964

Understandable. Have a nice day!

Glad we had this "debate" without speeging out and yelling at one another; a good day to you too and God bless.
