Cause I'm pretty sure my ancestors didn't arrive in the area until a couple centuries later, and from what I've read he came from a devoutly jewish family in Cilicia, which I'll grant you is in Anatolia, what we now call turkey, but I've not seen anything to imply that he was a turk.
