Could christian writers from this board collaborate to write a Christian fiction novel?

With enough prayers for mercy and Psalter recitations, it could probably get done.

c22050 No.623177

It could be done, but everyone will want to put in their specific denomination's traits just to make others mad.

I like the idea, but english is not my native language, so I'm not sure I could write in a good style.

4f790e No.623299

What would the plot be?

b40687 No.623302

I have some ideas. It's basically a futuristic roman republic, transformed into a expansionist empire. Persecution, dna modification, a gnostic cabal. Supposedly in the far far future. Not openly Christian until the end.

I once used to write…now I feel so sorry I quit.

The rebirth of the Episcopal church as the saviour of humanity in a post-apocalyptic world.

If that was written well then I would imagine enjoying it more than the major television series' that have come about in previous few years. There are so many great ideas put forth in regards to media centered around a Christian narrative (I'm not talking about movies like 'God's Not Dead' who preach to an entertainment-seeking audience).

I'm working on something right now, but it's slow going as I've been bogged down with work.

Not sure if collaborative writing's necessarily a good idea if we want to contribute to an overarching story, but having an anthology of short stories with a Christian focus would be nice.

Check out /lit/ and see if there's anything interesting there that could help you out with your idea.

I've written a few novels. Writing a novel is a major undertaking and can take years. It takes passion and vision. Multiple anonymous writers will have little stake in the project and that lack of dedication will show. Adding multiple authors doesn't lighten the load. You'll get major problems with inconsistent prose, cross purposes, and too many cooks in the kitchen. Collaborating with another writer can be workable, but any more of that would just be a headache, and you'd have to establish an artificial hierarchy of authorship and editorial control just to keep the work consistent. If you have an idea for a novel you should write it yourself, or many start a Christian fiction magazine and have writers write their own stories.

I've been thinking about it for several years, and I think it would be a good tv series. I have many story lines that could occupy several volumes (after all it's an extensive story). I have not had time, nor do I think I have the talent to make it real.

>Christian fiction magazine

Really good idea. I would gladly contribute

I think that a christian space empire would be cool.

Hopefully in this empire atheism would be treated like the mental illness it is.
