Mods if this doesn't belong feel free to remove this. This is the only board I feel I can post this without getting retarded reponses. If there's somewhere better for me to post please redirect me there.

I don't feel any value in anything I do every day. I can barely get out of bed every day but by the time I'm out its well past 12. I hate everything about the things I used to enjoy. I see the people who have subverted those things and it brings me sadness and anger. I can barely work up the will to work on any sort of homework for my classes which I don't really care about. Almost every friend I've had doesn't care to text me or talk to me unless I nag them constantly. I look at the future and I can't see things getting better for me or any children I might have. I look at the people around me my age and they disgust me. I want to join a church but I'm scared because I don't want to pick the wrong one. While I've heard arguments against something like a Catholic or Eastern Orthodox church (I know there's a better word for discribing this but I don't know it) which seem valid, I've also seen how crazy Luther is which by extension in my view kinda discredits a lot of protestantism by association. It just seems so over welming and I don't even know where to began. I don't know why I'm even bothering this thread will probably be deleted for being off topic or for being ranty.

TL;DR I'm sad, lost, lonely, and I don't know what to do.

Find a local Catholic Latin Mass.

Don't worry about denominational stuff until you've got more theological knowledge under your belt.

Honestly? You need to get over yourself and start going to church. I would urge you to go Orthodox but really it sounds like you've just got to kuckle down and pick one. You are in sore need of a real-life community anon. A good church is absolutely the best place to start.

A lack of purpose is crippling, and so is a lack of community. Go to a local church. You're going to go through hard times regardless of what you do but hopefully you'll find God.

>7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

>8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Convert, OP. It'll be beyond worth it in the end.

1, Start reading the scripture and church fathers.

2, Make sincere Christian friends. Denomination doesn't matter so much as long as it's not insanely heretical.

3, BEGOME

I go to a traditionalist church that has Latin Mass, but only on Sunday morning. Unfortunately, I can only go on Saturday evenings. However, even then it's still a wonderful church.

You sound like you're suffering from clinical Depression. Do a couple online tests and consider seeing a doctor. God bless.

this

solomon's books(proverbs, ecclesiastes, song of songs) are a decent foothold, and of course the gospels.

Well, motivate yourself by realizing you have to work to survive. That's the sole reason I finished college. I don't really care about 'knowledge' or anything. I go and punch out the clock and focus on having fun in my free time. Believe me, work is important, focus on finding a job and everything will fall into place.

Also, you're taking things way too seriously. I too don't see a bright future, I don't see myself being happy with a woman, but who cares, I have hobbies that keep me entertained, everything else be damned.

OP listen to this. Or find it online/in the libary and just read first book. Imitate Christ for God gave you gift of detachment from the world. Denounce it so that you can banish devil and mortify your flesh.

i posted that just to give OP something to think about and possibly apply in his search. Vincent canon has given me hope that its possible to find the church if i apply its method and guidance in my search. I posted that screen-cap since i believe its onto something.

Latin Orthodox universally believed in the filioque since at least Augustine. Byzantine autism and lack of awareness won't change this.

This is stupid, it puts the conclusion first then naturally reaches that conclusion and acts triumphant about it.

Thanks for the advice so far guys. I'll keep most of it in mind.

Isn't latin mass in latin? I'll consider it if it's not but if it is, that seems like a really high barrier to entry.

b6d67d No.622837

>>622826

Latin Mass is all in latin, except for the sermon, but there are missals available to follow along with that have side-by-side vernacular/latin translations. Just sit in the back if you're anxious about it and follow someone who looks like they know when to kneel and stand
