I had a family member who would i want to show the satanic origins of the New Age to stop them from practicing a kundalini awakening (opening your third eye to spirits). Iron sharpens iron, focus on developing your theology instead of trying to convince some fickled subjective person with distorted information. It's sad, but some people will not see it, until it's too late. If i was you, i would be clear with your friend that any religious conversation is over, it would be different if it was an actual exchange of beliefs, but clearly he in denial about something extremely fundamental.
