So for those who don't use /lit/, they have these cute little axioms for learning literature. The big famous one is "start with the Greeks," and the three standard ones are

>Start with the Greeks

>Resume with the Romans

>Continue with the Christians

There's a thread on 4/lit/ about making a "Continue with the Christians" chart (in the style of the attached two charts on the Greeks and the Romans). It's not really getting a lot of traction, so I decided to post it here. I think it would be a fun thing to have, and a nice thing to give to anons looking into Christianity. Generally the way these charts are organized is they are meant to be read in order (or with one text supplementing another text). They have both modern books as introductory materials as well as the ancient texts with translation recommendations.

The other two charts I attached are charts I posted in the thread. I think they both are good references in the creation of this chart

Can you give me the tl;dr on all of these books?

Oh yeah, here's the thread on /lit/

And here's two /christian/ threads I think could help in the making of a chart like this

I'm not asking you to read the Greek/Roman books, I'm just using them as examples

>>618025

They have tl;drs on the charts

The /christian/ reading chart needs a timestamp. I see slightly different versions floating around all the time.

>refusing to be educated

>equating being educated in other religions to following them

>not realizing the great evangelizing potential you can have with a good knowledge of history and religion's other than Christianity

The Bible is obviously necessary. followed by the Apostolic Fathers. After that probably a work for each of the seven ecumenical councils, like St Athanasius On The Incarnation for the First Ecumenical council and On The Divine Images for the Seventh

Is there a /christian/ movie chart? It doesn't have to be approved by everyone, sometimes a christian theme is enough, even if the conclusions drawn by the movie are not christian in nature.
