Is using weak arguments a sin? Let's imagine a situation:

>in an argument with someone

>I know that he's not well-informed

>I am lazy and I use an argument that is easy to present but I can think of hundreds of ways to debunk it from the top of my head

>it turns out to be enough and I convince him

Does it mean that I lied to that person? Or just saved some time I would have otherwise lost on presenting more complex arguments?

Do all things as unto the Lord, and with joy and cheer in your heart. The sin here is more being lazy than the argument, and not doing it to as to the Lord. If God were there, would you not do your best (hint: He is always there)?
