My brother who has been losing his faith for a while, while I have been gaining faith for a while has been giving me arguments against Christianity that I get laughed at for responding with "faith". Can someone please give some evidence of god and answer some questions I have??

Sounds like he's already lost it, but fire off some questions, I'm sure we've heard them all before- not that they're unimportant, just that sufficient reading and study would answer them.

How do I argue for the earth being 6000 years old as stated in the bible? What happens to people who haven't ever heard of god, and how do I know god is real in the first place?

hello? I really do not want to lose my faith, can anyone answer these questions!

Hello fellow anon. For questions about the age of the earth and other evidences, try looking here for some answers http://apologeticspress.org/ as they do a good job of making a defense of things such as the age of the earth.

To answer your question about those who have never heard of God, read Romans 1:18 and following, but to summarize, neither the Jew nor the Gentile has an excuse for not knowing that there is a God, a Creator, and seeking him out. For the Jew it was because they had the Law of Moses, which as God says through Paul was a school master, a guide which leads us to Christ.

For those who are Gentiles/pagans, they are without excuse for the entire natural world shows the eternal, immortal qualities of God. But those who did not have the Law turned to creation and worshiped it, rather than the creator.

The truth is friend anon, the Christian faith is not something that is to be blindly believed, but it is a faith built on evidence after evidence.

Hmm, perhaps you shouldn't tie the two together.

Augustine believed in an old Earth so I've heard, but St. Basil believed in a young Earth.

Basically, separate the religion from the interpretation of creation. What's most important is the fall of man, not when Earth was made.

I find the question irrelevant to my faith. What does he say it proves? What's the point of the question?

Is he saying if any fact in the bible isn't 100% verifiable the book is false? That's quite the fallacy.
