Hey there.

I was wondering what is the name of this Mormon painting.

I understand it is Jesus visiting ancient Mesoamerican civilizations. What city is it supposed to depict? Is it a city of the Mayan empire?

Is it Tenochtitlan or a city of the precursor to the Aztec civilization?

I read the scripture in the Book of Mormon but could not figure out what city it is that the Mormons say Jesus visited.

Ty!

are mormons really this autistic?

Is it that unbelievable?

Not saying the Book of Mormon or Mormon theology is and truth about Jesus but is it inconceivable that Jesus could have visited Mesoamerica?

The word "Toltec" is supposed to mean "Artist of the Spirit".

Toltec was the cultural ancestor of the Aztec civilization.

That's not unbelievable but what is unbelievable to me is that there would be no record of his visit. The Christian Spanish should've found some legends or maybe even a sect still practicing, or some carvings or anything.

It is inconceivable that Jesus would do so and leave no trace except for some supposed scripture found in New York by a conman.

On golden plates that are mysteriously missing….

As far as I know, the problem is not that Jesus couldn't have visited ancient American peoples after his crucifixion, it's that the Book of Mormon doesn't record him visiting the Aztecs. It records him visiting Israelites in the Americas. Which is not possible because there were none.

It's maybe possible that he visited Aztec cities, but it seems unlikely that they would have knowledge of Christ long before the Spanish arrived and conveniently have erased all record of it.
