My understanding of math & physics and the ridiculously astronomical unlikeliness of the universe happening the way that it did and the complete absurdity of existence itself is why I can never consider myself an atheist.

For example, consider the number e. It was first derived by bankers formulating an equation for continuously compounding interest. Since its discovery, it has shown up in so many other places that I have a hard time believing it. e^x is the only function that is its own derivative, and (e^x+e^-x)/2 creates the Caternary Curve (also called hyperbolic cosine) which is the shape that a slack rope creates when held at both ends.

There is absolutely no reason that so many things need to act in such a cohesive and predictable manner, but they do. I cannot look at things like that and say that there is no such thing as intelligent design without feeling like I'm lying to myself.

You're question:

The answer, twofold:

"So God created man in His own image,

in the image of God He created him;

male and female He created them." (Genesis 1:27)

"God is love…We love because He first loved us." (1 John 4:15)

From a completely materialistic standpoint, humans are the only creatures capable of true rational thought.

Secondly, you cannot prove intelligent life exists elsewhere. It's either an extreme rarity in itself or completely unique.

Your mind is that of a child.

A world not gardened has no value. Humans hold the value and bestow it with their presence. The infinite universe is insignificant in itself. Earth is its center and from Earth we should colonize the stars and give them meaning.

Earth's significance equals to that of the Universe.
