Not loving it, OP.
What, do you think God's plan all along was for women to do a little housework, look after some kids for the five years before they're at school and then around reading romance novels, generally gossiping and getting bored for the next fifty years?!
Tha fuq?
All the 1950s-tier familial bliss achieved was spotless houses, which, researchers have since determined, lead to women's obsessive behaviour about home cleanliness that not even the most opulent palaces had. Women can't just sit on their chuff, they have to work when not raising kids, and the ideal would be to release them into ministry, which is probably why churches are so feminised these days.
What SHOULD piss you off is that modern work is designed around a 9-5 regimen and if you cannot fall into line with that kind of discipline, then we're going to call you a part-time worker, and pay you less per hour because, well, you're clearly not the family's main bread-winner, plus you're slowing all of us down with your coming in late to work B.S. and your working-from-home attitude. The modern workplace is designed for a man to go to work and a woman to stay home and pop valium to stop her going crazy from boredom.
And yet, reading Proverbs 32, you'll quickly get the impression that back when work revolved around the home, back when hours were flexible, women were obviously (or meant to be) pretty industrious and meant to be contributing to the welfare of the family more than just cooking for him when he comes home and keeping the snots from being brats.
No, Anderson may be rightly said to be fighting against the tide, but he's not got the wrong end of the stick.
