From what I've seen, the mods tend to delete threads that negatively target or bash a denomination.

They have all been deleted. It’s not like they locked a bunch of threads with the first thread linked to in their post. They just deleted every thread on China. And they are not going to explain why. I’ve dealt with these cocksuckers before.

I don't think there's anything to worry about. People are blowing the situation out of proportion. The Vatican is simply paying lip service to a dying regime while doing their own thing within China.

If anything, they're securing the existence of Catholicism as a recognized religion.

And exactly how are they doing that by letting atheist communist bishops be in charge of the faithful? We can't really say that the church is supporting underground Catholics because we have no evidence to prove this, admittedly we have no evidence to disprove their actions. It may just be the juxtaposition of this issue and the Amoris Laetitia stuff, but I haven't been to confidant in Francis lately.

Heard of a story the other day on a video series I'm watching for RCIA. The priest says they evangelized in Saudi Arabia, secretly. Secret because in Saudi evangelizing is dangerous business. He met a man with his right hand gone. He asked what happened, and the man apparently he prayed the sign of the cross in public accidentally out of habit. Saudi authorities forced him to renounce Christ or have his hand chopped off. He chose the latter. This is the danger our priests and evangelists are dealing with in these countries. The Vatican is well aware, and are playing 4D chess. They will still evangelize China, but will do so by sending priests there in secret.

You have no proof of this. For all intents and purposes, it looks as if the Catholic Church is caving into the demands of the Communist Party of China. Even if there is some underhanded strategy in play here (which is a problem of its own), the decision itself is horribly scandalizing.

This is not how the early Church did it. When faced with persecution, they chose to die or hide rather than give in. I don't see how any other choice is remotely acceptable, especially from the Church that claims to be the direct descendant of those early martyrs.
