Psalm 82 is an extremely complex and beautiful Psalm. Never assume you're the first to interpret it, look to the commentaries and work of the past. Holy men of God have struggled with the interpretation of this Psalm for millenia before the term "New Age" was on the lips of any man.

No, its not some "if you know God, you are God" vedic-pantheistic garbage.

No, Holy men of God didn't struggle to interpret it, but it was discussed in light of Theosis/Divinization, that was ignored in western Christianity for a long time.

Don't forget to pray for the Holy Spirit to give you understanding as you read the Psalm. He is the only one who can guide us into all truth, He is the only source that could allow us to understand Scripture. Remember that the Holy Spirit abides in them that believe and teaches them all things. 1 John 2:27. That applies just as much to Psalm 82 as anywhere else in Scripture.
