India has regulated and crashed the crypto market, I declare war against them. This is causing me and other to lose profits. I say we should invade india, turn the people into malankara orthodox christains, and install a malankara orthodox christian monarchy that will not regulate the crypto market. Plus with hinduism gone and oriental orthodoxy to supplement it it may finally civilize those street pooper heathens.

I mean, I'm sure Christ would be happy to see a war waged because of money and regulations on a currency that has been used for years to trade drugs, slaves and hire killers.

Hey, while we're on the subject what do you guys who are also /biz/raelites think of the morality of putting money in pyramid schemes like POWHcoin and EthPyramid? For those who don't know about them, these things are open about being pyramid schemes and the fact that you could lose whatever you put in and they advise you not to put in more than you can afford to lose. There is more to them than traditional pyramid schemes, you earn dividends when other people buy in (and when they sell, for EthPyramid). So if the price crashes you can use the low price to shill it and then you make dividends when people buy in. You only really lose money if you panic sell, if you hold you will eventually make your money back through dividends (or if there is a bug in the code, or an exit scam happens).

Don't all pyramid schemes rely on scamming someone else way down the line? Seems pretty sinful to me.

this isn't /judaism/

Since there's a thread already, isn't investing money into any equity, stock, currency, etc. for the sole purpose of profit, I.E usury, a mortal sin?

I can't help but feel like I'm being a greedy heeb whenever I do anything concerning cryptocurrency or even storing money in a bank/credit union.

As I said, it's quite different from a traditional pyramid scheme. It is designed to be sustainable for an indeterminate amount of time, in theory forever, with many moons and crashes, and therefore many 'ground floors' people can get in on. You can pull your money out at any time at a slight loss, but will be rewarded with dividends if you hold. This article explains it:

https://medium.com/@Cryptokeeper/the-smart-contract-ponzi-scheme-that-isnt-really-a-ponzi-scheme-e1f26d0eedc6

Note that POWHcoin failed due to a flaw in the code. EthPyramid is not out yet but is being heavily tested to avoid similar problems. No doubt many similar schemes will pop up if this is successful. These seem less transparently immoral to me than traditional ponzi schemes. Especially because they are upfront about the risks.

But you're supposed to keep your treasures where rust does not destroy and theives do not steal

Isn't usury about interest on loans?

Prices of stocks and currency are just the price people will buy them at.

If they want to buy at that price then it's not sinful to sell it to them.
