84 This was the dedication of the altar, in the day when it was anointed, by the princes of Israel: twelve chargers of silver, twelve silver bowls, twelve spoons of gold:

85 Each charger of silver weighing an hundred and thirty shekels, each bowl seventy: all the silver vessels weighed two thousand and four hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary:

86 The golden spoons were twelve, full of incense, weighing ten shekels apiece, after the shekel of the sanctuary: all the gold of the spoons was an hundred and twenty shekels.

87 All the oxen for the burnt offering were twelve bullocks, the rams twelve, the lambs of the first year twelve, with their meat offering: and the kids of the goats for sin offering twelve.

88 And all the oxen for the sacrifice of the peace offerings were twenty and four bullocks, the rams sixty, the he goats sixty, the lambs of the first year sixty. This was the dedication of the altar, after that it was anointed.

89 And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Numbers 7. The doctrine is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of biblical symbolism most of the teachings will go over a typical reader’s head. There’s also Moses’ nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Yehudi Tanakhi literature, for instance. The fundamentalists understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these teachings, to realise that they’re not just repetitive- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Numbers 7 truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the significance in Elishama’s existential offering of “One spoon of ten shekels of gold, full of incense,” which itself is a cryptic reference to the epic of Gilgamesh . I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as God's infinite genius wisdom unfolds itself through their bibles. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Numbers 7 tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the the scholars eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.
