Hey /Christian/

I'm being baptised this Sunday along with having my first service. But I have no idea about anything.

What should I expect and what should I do?

My Church is Anglican I think.

Should I get fully or partially submerged?

What should I wear?

How should I go about it?

Thanks.

If I'm confident enough I'll get baptized during the service.

Pic unrelated

>I'm being baptised this Sunday

>but I have never been to Church before

>I don't even know which denomination my Church is part of

>I'm not even certain I'll be baptised, just 'confident enough'

What on earth

Well, do some background information first. Find out what kind of a church it is, see if you can get into contact with the pastor or priest and ask whether or not they're planning on actually baptizing you on Sunday (no point in getting dressed up and having a speech prepared if it's not going to happen).

More importantly see if you are ready to be baptized, understanding what it means to have it done to you, etc. I was baptized years ago trying to impress my father without taking it seriously, had the Lords Supper and everything and I sincerely regret being ignorant about it now. Make sure that you are right with the Lord and all that.

At it's worst Anglican churches will do revolting stuff like this. They are also only branch of protestantism that never even had a justifiable reason to split with the Church. Henry VIII was commended as a defender of Catholicism for his letters against Luther but then he just salty bc the Pope wouldn't let him get a divorce so he declared himself head of his kingdom's churches and charge anyone who disagreed with him with treason. I assume you didn't know any of this and that's fine, but I highly recommend you look into the RCC.

Look at how old the entire congregation is lol

Episcopalianism / Anglicanism is a dead religion for boomers.

The more "innovative" they get with the Gospel and with doctrine, the more they produce cringe-tastic material like this which accelerates their descent into obscurity.
