Mormons are demonized and proselytizing to them probably won't produce fruit unless God crushes the demonic influence that blinds them and fuels their false zeal.

Invite them inside your home or another place that's within your authority and pray to God that he allow no demons to enter with them. I have been told several times of missionaries remarking that 'their spirit' left them when they enter homes in this manner(usually after they leave indignantly in response to the truth and don't have demonic dialectic to back them up and want to throw something out to reassure themselves you're bad.) The missionaries are often hungry so you could invite them over to dinner and fast and pray before hand as well. I don't really know how to help with the apologetics but remember it's literal spiritual warfare.

What everyone who tries to convert Mormons fail to understand is that Mormonism is a complete ecosystem where the members get jobs, chaste wives, welfare and social security. It's designed to be a way that if anyone chooses to leave they will hurt in all regards except spiritually. If you cannot offer anything except bible verses they will probably stay in their prison.

I don't treat someone who recognizes the triune Godhead as a random heathen. Respecting the mysteries of God which are laid out and revealed in the New Testament is a big deal. Mormons however are just heathens superficially disguised as something else, kind of like how muslims were the arabian equivalent of the same thing. They don't even worship the same God, they absolutely do not have the Father. Same with muslims, later jews (1 John 2:23), and oneness pentecostals.

If you truly want to do God's will I encourage you to take the time to see how real philosophers like Aquinas and Augustine, hell even other monotheists like Averroes, or pagans like Aristotle who laid the foundation of classical theism in the first place, viewed God. Not a Catholic so don't have a dog in that fight but even if we allowed for such things at least the Papists confess that God is the unique God without peer or equal. The best you can say for mormonism is that they are Trilatrists, worshipers of three gods while confessing that there are many more out there.
