Lately I've been really interested in christian movies, but they're quite rare in these degenerate and herectic times we live in. Almost all of the films that are released these days contains some kind of heresy to them, be it samesex relationships or 'casual sex', this is quite unfortunate but sometimes we can find some gems out there. Those are the ones I already know:
>The biggest christian director nowadays is, most likely, Mel Gibson, and he really does a good job when creating them. I really enjoyed The Passion and Hacksaw Ridge.
>Tarkovsky is another one I already know of, not all of his movies are centered around the christian faith, but he was really religious as his diaries shows. Andrey Rublev is a masterpiece.
>"The Nun's Story" and "A Man for All Seasons", both by Zinnemann, both absolutely fantastic, especially the latter.
>Ben Hur and Quo Vadis, both classics
>Joan of Arc by Victor Fleming, really good
>The Priests (korean movie), I watched that expecting something bad but it was really really good, the director has some extensive knowledge on catholicism, I'll keep an eye for more of his future movies
>Ignatius Press' movies, most of them are biographical, about the lives of the saints, they're not masterpieces but I found some rather interesting and the others were at the very least informative about the lives of those great people that once lived in this world and dedicated their lives to God. (you can find them here: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dmovies-tv&field-keywords=Ignatius+Press)
Those are all I've watched, really wanted to know more about those movies, but they seem really rare. Do you guys have some recommendations?
