I should note that it’s entirely possible that OP did not miss James White’s sarcasm, and that it is I who am missing OP’s sarcasm. The difference is that it is fairly obvious from White’s demeanour that he is joking, as well as the fact that the idea that the anti-Catholic and quite talented Protestant apologist is a secret Jesuit is absurd. Whereas the idea that someone who believes in Jesuit conspiracy theories might take what James White said at face value is not so strange.
