My mum has started watching this show, in fact as I write is watching the first episode. I noticed that Bart Ehrman is on the program and the alarm bells got ringing, so what do I do? Do I watch it with her and try and point out takes in the atheist arguments? What do I say?

i thought it was entertaining and often tries to quote jesus from the bible. in any way it is much better entertainment than what you get on tv nowadays

I watched it with her and nothing was too drastic (a la "Jesus wasn't God, Mary wasn't a virgin etc etc) but it does imply that the Bethlehem birth is fake as it states that the census never happened. Got any advise on that?

Step two: next time you see him on screen, say "this guy's an idiot. Don't listen to him".

Step three: give an example of how he's an idiot(not difficult)
