I have 100K units of currency in the bank(theyre in dollar format tho)and I havent even begun to work. Theyre just savings from family gifts.

Im afraid im being a hoarder,i gave ten percent and more of my monthly allowance to church, still i feel "guilty"

Whats the best option here?Gib to a smart charity church? Invest, then gib away?

I already have anything i need for life TBQH

4dcd39 No.576653

address why you feel "guilty", discern with right reason the right course of action, take it. Being rich isn't a sin.

Donate locally or work to help those around you. Real good is always done in the minute particulars. Those who try to change the world, particularly from afar, almost always end up making it worse.

I get your feelings fam.

I got half a million from my father, already invested more than half of it in real estate.

I'm trying to get the hold of the books of my local parish to see if it's worth donating some money too.

I talked about it with with my priest, and he told me that being rich is not a sin and that I shouldn't worry that much.

Put it into a high yield savings account or invest it. Use the money to buy a home that would be ideal for raising a family, where you can life for the rest of your life. This will basically remove the primary, biggest debt everyone has in their lives. Meaning that you are financially independent and not in debt to anyone, meaning you are free to be charitable with the income you will earn for the rest of your life.

This is pretty much the route I took. I came into a little bit of money ($29k) when I was 19. Doesn't seem like much, but to a 19 year old kid in 1991 it was mad cash. I didn't know anything about investing, but stuck $25k into various money market accounts and used $3k as down payment for a modest house on a decent size chunk of land. $1k for myself for little extravagances.

I'm now 45, married, have 4 kids, and own my house. At 19 I could never have imagined being 45 or married or having kids. It took a lot of discipline to not just blow through that money. I am by no means wealthy, but I'm comfortable. My land is mine, my bills get paid, and my kids are fed and clothed and go to school.

OP: Save that money. You'll be glad you did.

im an investment noob tho.

Im not raising any family.

I will try.

>should i buy some gold tho

eb9751 No.576972

Can one convert their savings into gold or are their limits or taxes imposed on it?

>>576651

For what to do with the money rather than giving it away brashly you should devote yourself toward thinking of a way in which to put that money to a use in which it could be of a productive and continual benefit to others that glorifies God at the same time.

91cd77 No.576975

>>576966

The trouble with gold is that it's not protected. If someone robs a bank, you still have your money. If someone robs your house, your gold is gone.

This actually was a common thing. Even more, Orthodox had monopoly on animeposting, IIRC. We shall reconquer it again

Anywho, for the OP: You shouldnt feel guilty. You should if you earned it dishonestly. But if its a gift from the family you dont have a reason for this. Asides this, I would recommend to use to develop some minor business for stable income. Like In agriculture maybe? If you dont want so, spend in charity, but not in charity orgainzations (they are money whitewashing centers)

with the association of anime girls with masturbation, you think both orthodox and catholics on this board would be hesitant to use it

it's shameful really. you see this "catholic" anime-girl poster submit stuff that's obviously wank material
