I find st. Augustine very hard to read. I'm much more interested in Aquines, Feser's book about his philosophy is magnificent. I also ready bits and pieces of books written by st. Francis de Sales. His defense of catholicism is remarkable too, he converted tens of thousands of Swiss protestants. I think he was special.
