how are you gonna spend your eternal time in heaven?

is heaven gonna be some sort of ghostly spirit-world or earth with all the bugs fixed, like how eden used to be?

heaven is one thing and paradise is another

I think that being in heaven is living in the presence of God so you don't need or want anything else. I know it sounds boring but it's not.

The early paradise will be reconstructed with elevated bodies and better spiritual natures. Doesn't mean you cant suffer or die.

ya

we're already in God's presence since he's omnipresent and the kingdom of heaven is already here since it's in us.

Anon, please.

If God is everywhere how come there can be items that are "blessed"? God is equally in each one of them!

The answer is that God's omnipresence doesn't do what you think it does, otherwise people in earth and hell would not even suffer.

well, the paradise or the garden is a idealized state of nature where everything behaves as the Creator wanted in the first place. And it was good. To me it doesn't discard the necessities of a corporeal body (food, shelter, etc).

But, the Lord says that you can't die after the second reincarnation so in reality I'm not sure.

Wrong. No suffering or death.

*first resurrection

The second dead may be referred only to the gehenna. So you can die physically but not spirituall. I'm not sure at all.

c8699e No.571105

>>571100

second death comes after the judgement at the end of the world for those who reject God and his Son and Holy Spirit. It refers to gehenna in the sense that the eternal fire of it annihilates the soul (your being/existence), so you do die spiritually, too.

Weeping and gnashing of teeth, where the worm dieth not. Reality is terrifying, my friend.

c8699e No.571108

>>571106

reality is terrifying indeed, including the prospect of annihilation when one considers the alternative. Eternal concious torment, however, is even more terrifying I agree, having spent nights weeping contemplating and fearing that it is a possibility that any soul would have to bear it. But from what I've seen so far ECT is neither biblical nor does it make sense. Annihilationism on the other hand fits the opposite of that. I am not saying I 100% know for sure what's on the otherside for the unrepentant, I don't think scripture is says enough about it clearly for anyone to, but I tell you I'm going with what is both biblical and makes sense in what I've come across so far.

As for me though, I incessantly intoning "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." seems intense. I wonder if I'd have the honor.

If suffering is the product of death then it only makes sense that eternal death would result in eternal suffering, my reply to you was no less off-topic than your reply to these posts:

However I think I came off as preachy and holier-than-thou in my posts perhaps and I apologise for it. Believe me, this very night I have already failed to resist temptation and I'll leave it at that rather than elucidate and provoke impure actions in others. Unless you want me to clarify that is. Though, more to the point of the thread, I would say that I have no idea what I would do if I were in Heaven, I'm far more concerned with the fear of not making into the gates than how I would share in eternity. I should think that God knows what is best for us and will direct us in every aspect.

"The hidden wisdom of God which we teach in our mysteries is the wisdom that God predestined to be for our glory before the ages began. It is a wisdom that none of the masters of this age have ever known, or they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory. We teach what Scripture calls: The things that no eye has seen and no ear has heard, things beyond the mind of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him."

1st Corinthians 2:7-9 TJB

nah dw anon I didn't take it as a holier than thau attitude, and point on the non-saged posts. No doubt half the reason I replied other anon was to bait a response like yours though, having posted in the relevant threads about this issue before but not getting any replies for discussion. But this ain't the thread for that discussion either, alas.

Actually we probably will spend eternity on new earth and new jerusalem. Not in Heaven.

a39989 No.571344

>>571081

Common misconception is that we spend eternity in heaven.

The resurrection would be on the New Earth after the everything is purified with fire.

>how are you gonna spend your eternal time in heaven Paradise?

First, I think we should understand the type of bodies we will possess in the post-judgement resurrection.

Paul gives us an idea of this in 1 Corinthians 15.42-44

<So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body

>>571091

We wont be able to suffer pain because we will possess impassibility we physically wont be able to feel pain.

The "God-mode" cheat code will be enabled.

<it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;

We also won't be able to fatigue and have agility.

Basically a "99999+" stamina boost on your character. Go anywhere you want superhero stuff.

< it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body

Out go the laws of the natural world.

Gravity and physics is utterly BTFO'd and i guess faster-than light travel. on our bodies.

>how are you gonna spend your eternal time in heaven?

Hopefully exploring the infinite universe.

I don't think there is a sense of time in Heaven. You turn towards God and you see the Beauty of Beauties and gaze into it wonderfully for all eternity, your soul having reached the same wavelength as God's. I don't think it's like anything we could possibly conceive of.
