He publicly called himself a christian, in speeches and in his book(mein kampf), although some historians say he only claimed to be a christian to gain popularity.

From my understanding he seemed to be your average "I go to church once a year" guy, not a strong christian, but a christian nevertheless.

He was technically Catholic. You can't undo a baptism.

It's this weird right-wing autism which seems to take Hitler at his word, for some reason. If Hitler said it, then he must have meant it and therefore it's true.

While he thought that the pagan LARPers in his midst were retarded, he probably really didn't care too much about Christianity personally and just used it for political leverage. His hatred of atheism is also easily reconciled with his hatred of communism.

The whole thing is as ludicrous as trying to say that Stalin, while he was demolishing ancient monasteries and executing priests en masse was actually a Christian because he went to a seminary when he was younger and revoked the ban on the church in WW2 as a morale boost to the Russian people.

He grew up in Catholicism, was a nominal member of the RCC, and had a very strong admiration for the ecclesiology/church polity and organization. This is why he modeled different state agencies on the RCC

Here's a quote demonstrating what I mean by that:

"I learned much from the Order of the Jesuits", said Hitler… "Until now, there has never been anything more grandiose, on the earth, than the hierarchical organization of the Catholic Church. I transferred much of this organization into my own party… I am going to let you in on a secret… I am founding an Order… In my "Burgs" of the Order, we will raise up a youth which will make the world tremble… Hitler then stopped, saying that he couldn't say any more.." Here's another quote on the matter, this time from Wikipedia (admittedly not exactly a bastion of truth, but it gives references):

The Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels had been a student of Jesuits, and Heinrich Himmler was impressed by the Order's organisational structure.[5] Hitler wrote favourably of their influence on architecture and on himself in Mein Kampf.[5]

Ordering n*zis to occupy, repress and murder great christian countries is hardly christian. I understand that our buddies from /pol/ can't handle that caliber of truth, but someone has to break that to them.

Cloak of Positive Christianity. Meant to subvert the beliefs of the populace and transform into a religion of the blood that was destined to create a paradise on Earth for what Hitler identified as the Aryan race. Entwined with racial esotericism and hearkening back to the Mythic Age of giants, fairytale creatures and heroes. Hitler stylized himself as the "Fuhrer" the same way the Pope is the father of the RCC. RCC supported Nazi Germany. Hitler believed he found a hidden truth buried beneath the sands of time; that existence was a cycle of universal improvement of order out of chaos, with the noble spirit of the Aryan in conflict with a polar opposite spirituality identified contemporaneously within Judaism and other beliefs he thought were stained with the semitic, dysgenic spirit that had to be overcome by the universal drive towards order, which he confirmed his ideology with but in reality was deceiving and being deceived. Hitler was a vain man with good intentions, but I have concluded that he was an Antichrist, unknowingly aligned with Powers and Principalities in the high places dedicated to transforming Satan from the Adversary into Lucifer that still has reverberations to this day and not by accident or without purpose. I say this as a person who once admired Hitler.

>Satan from the Adversary into Lucifer

This might sound ridiculous, but watch the anime "Berserk" to get an idea of the spiritual direction the world is currently moving into, focus less on Guts and more on Griffith. I have a hunch the final Antichrist, the proverbial Man of Sin who is possessed by Satan himself is going to be a king that has the combined power of all the demons and fallen angels to be able to perform miracles and magical acts on a scale that has never before been witnessed to deceive the entire world into worshiping him as a deity. It is not just Berserk, plenty of music, movies, television and art is being churned out by spiritually sensitive individuals who are acting as receivers whether they are aware and complicit or not.

Read "Mit brennender Sorge", also read about the literal hundreds of Catholic martyrs, like St. Edith Stein or St. Maximilian Kolbe, that were killed under Hitler.

Alright fair enough, I figured that with the concordat and the decadence of Weimar Germany because of the Jews that the Catholic Church support of a modern monarch figure that espoused virtue would've been the natural next step, but it seems my vague intuitions are no substitute for a more thorough investigation into the follow-up events afterwards. Though you have to admit, bias as a Catholic is certainly going to make you more inclined to defend the RCC's reputation.

>Mit brennender Sorge

I'll do that if there's a pdf. out there, maybe buy the book if not. Sorry if I came off as arrogant, I am not totally opposed to the Apostolic churches, considering they formulated the Biblical canon that is in use today and helped spread Christ's name and gospel around the world, it's just the pagan themes and appropriations that make me wary of getting too invested in the dogma. But I do appreciate the theology of those churches.

2f8db6 No.569976

Hitler was raised Roman Catholic but in adulthood he didn't regularly attend Mass. Roman Catholics did not support Nazism as much as Protestants did. The Nazi movement was initially inspired in Hitler by watching a performance of I believe an opera where some Knights Templar guarded the Holy Grail. Hitler exchanged the Blood of Christ for the blood of the German people, of course. In this way Nazism is idolatry and blausphemy and inherently anti-Christian. The Nazi Party was organized along the lines of the Teutonic Order of monk-knights, which was deeply influential on German culture, and was inspired in part by the German Peasant's War, which was, as I understand it, a proto-Protestant uprising against Catholic-backed states. The Anabaptist Munster Rebellion was a clear precursor to both Nazism and Communism although only Marx admitted direct inspiration. Another influence was the antisemitism of Martin Luther. Of course blaming Christianity for the crimes of Nazism would be a genetic fallacy. All that said, Nazism was a fundamentally secular movement. If the Nazis had won the war they would have no doubt subjugated Christianity to their movement and likely would have eventually tried to wipe out Christianity.
