Would resisting the confiscation of guns by the government be sinful?

8cdcd9 No.567786

If a law is just and comes from a legitimate authority, we are bound to follow it. I would err on the side that government confiscation of guns would be unjust

445c9a No.567791

there are no legitimate authorities left here on earth that call themselves states and make laws

This. 2nd Amendment supersedes any of these illegal gun-grabbing laws. Unless it is repealed, which won't happen.

>>567791

Almost. Pic related.

Absolutely not

No, neither would deporting those threatening the Christian natives. This happened several times in the ot iirc.

Yes, because restricting access to guns is in the authority of the state.

>>567791

Why do you consider this to be true?

cb0b06 No.567862

>>567757

Live by it, die by it.

You cling to your gun when they come to take it away, they will shoot you with their gun. The cycle continues. It's your choice.

>>567786

I guess this is the proper answer assuming op is american.

5a2553 No.567870

>>567862

That's fine. I don't believe it would be sinful to die because of this.

>>567860

>restricting access to guns is in the authority of the state

Not in burgerland. Any laws restricting access to guns are technically illegal, per 2A. (((they))) are the ones sinfully flouting their own laws and authority.

3f6ac2 No.567874

Would resisting suicide be sinful if the government made a law that mandates all Christians to kill themselves?

cb0b06 No.567897

>>567870

>Any laws restricting access to guns are technically illegal

Not exactly. The 10th Amendment allows individual States the right to do anything not prohibited by the Constitution. It's what allows a State to put sales tax on a firearm or to keep firearms out of the hands of the mentally ill or the incarcerated. If the whole of the Constitution were the 2nd Amendment, then there would be no way to stop a prisoner from buying a gun.

Though I suppose that would make prisons way more entertaining.

To not resist tyrants who will kill your neighbor is sinful. See 1 Kings 12 especially verse 24.

I am not anti-authoritarian. Quite the opposite: I need authority, although I do not see it currently present. My critical faculties are sharpened by the absence of the credibility that I ask for. As a student of history, I know what can be offered.

9e6275 No.568104

>>568099

Traditionalist anarchism is not necessarily anti-authoritarian. It simply recognizes the distinction between true, proper authority and unjust, feigned authority.

I was pointing out that Christ commanded his disciples to forego amenities, such as a cloak, in order to obtain defensive instruments (the equivalent, in that day, to a firearm). The other verse was in the context of Christ's soteriologically necessary crucifixition.
