Whats the best catholic missionary group to whom i can donate?

I had saved a lof of money but recently ive been having nervous attack about being hit by cars.

I want to put some of it to truly good use,please just post links and experience,I can read all website but I dont trust non-firsthand accounts.

Catholic Charities does a lot of good work and the church keeps an eye on them.
