Christianity and utilitarianism are absolutely incompatible. Christianity is not a moral system whose end is to minimize suffering and maximize indulgence in the passions, rather Christianity is life and salvation in Jesus Christ, which often comes through and within suffering.

Utilitarianism and Christianity are completely compatible when you use the word "good" in the Christian context and not the hedonistic, semi-subjective way most people interpret it.

If everything you do is to achieve the greatest good (as in God is good) then, literally, utilitarianism is just Christianity by another name.
