God created world, whole universe, as a place to his Church. Everything is here to please us and magnify God. Plus it is fitting that if there is beings purley spiritual (angels) and spiritual-corporal (humans), to be there beings corporal only. And as it is fitting that if there are beings with threefold soul, rational-sensual-vegetative (humans and angels), to be there beings sensual-vegetative only (animals) and vegetative only (plants and and other living stuff) and beings that have no soul at all.

>Because God is all knowing, he knew exactly what humans were

>Because God is a trinity, he is all loving a Unitarian God exists before all time with no other person, so love cannot be a big factor of his existence. This is why neither Jews nor Muslims have the Christian doctrine that God is Love, they only say that God is good (The Father eternally loves the Son and Holy Spirit, The Son eternally loves the Father and the Holy Spirit, The Holy Spirit eternally loves the Father and the Son)

Therefore God created us because he loves us :)

I’m going to supplement this with Plato and Plotinus

>" Let me tell you then why the Creator made this world of generation. He was good, and the good can never have any jealousy of anything. And being free from jealousy, he desired that all things should be as like himself as they could be. This is in the truest sense the origin of creation and of the world, as we shall do well in believing on the testimony of wise men: God desired that all things should be good and nothing bad, so far as this was attainable…For this reason, when he was framing the universe, he put intelligence in soul, and soul in body, that he might be the creator of a work which was by nature fairest and best. Wherefore, using the language of probability, we may say that the world became a living creature truly endowed with soul and intelligence by the providence of God. " — Plato

<“The soul in its nature loves God and longs to be at one with Him in the noble love of a daughter for a noble father; but coming to human birth and lured by the courtships of this sphere, she takes up with another love, a mortal, leaves her father and falls.” ― Plotinus

<“This All is universal power, of infinite extent and infinite in potency, a God so great that all his parts are infinite. Name any place, and he is already there.” – Plotinus

St Irenareus says:

>In the beginning, therefore, did God form Adam, not as if He stood in need of man, but that He might have [some one] upon whom to confer His benefits. For not alone antecedently to Adam, but also before all creation, the Word glorified His Father, remaining in Him; and was Himself glorified by the Father, as He did Himself declare, “Father, glorify Thou Me with the glory which I had with Thee before the world was.” Nor did He stand in need of our service when He ordered us to follow Him; but He thus bestowed salvation upon ourselves. For to follow the Saviour is to be a partaker of salvation, and to follow light is to receive light. But those who are in light do not themselves illumine the light, but are illumined and revealed by it: they do certainly contribute nothing to it, but, receiving the benefit, they are illumined by the light. Thus, also, service [rendered] to God does indeed profit God nothing, nor has God need of human obedience; but He grants to those who follow and serve Him life and incorruption and eternal glory, bestowing benefit upon those who serve [Him], because they do serve Him, and on His followers, because they do follow Him; but does not receive any benefit from them: for He is rich, perfect, and in need of nothing. But for this reason does God demand service from men, in order that, since He is good and merciful, He may benefit those who continue in His service. For, as much as God is in want of nothing, so much does man stand in need of fellowship with God. For this is the glory of man, to continue and remain permanently in God’s service. Wherefore also did the Lord say to His disciples, “Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you;” indicating that they did not glorify Him when they followed Him; but that, in following the Son of God, they were glorified by Him. And again, “I will, that where I am, there they also may be, that they may behold My glory;” not vainly boasting because of this, but desiring that His disciples should share in His glory: of whom Esaias also says, “I will bring thy seed from the east, and will gather thee from the west; and I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring My sons from far, and My daughters from the ends of the earth; all, as many as have been called in My name: for in My glory I have prepared, and formed, and made him.” Inasmuch as then, “wheresoever the carcase is, there shall also the eagles be gathered together,” we do participate in the glory of the Lord, who has both formed us, and prepared us for this, that, when we are with Him, we may partake of His glory.

God created us because He loves us and wants us to be deified, basked in His love and glorifying Him thus.

If Adam and Eve didn't screw up, the Son would have become incarnate (possibly from Eve) and, by taking onto our human nature, would have opened the way to deification for Adam and Eve, and the whole of humanity. Unfortunately, Adam and Eve mis-used their free will, and so God delayed His plan of sanctification, until a time He saw fit.

Same reason God created everything else - as a gift to us, because we are innately given the mission to be the stewards of creation, and the creation is innately good for us. It only turned against us because Adam's sin introduced death to the cosmos.

I'm so grateful to be human ! Imagine being an animal who can't know God and serves faillible masters like us humans are.

f822dc No.565368

All of creation glorifies God, and serves Him. It is impossible not to - it's not like the devil is some kind of counter-force to God, we're not Zoroastrians.

The problem creation has isn't with serving God, it's with trying to not kill us.

Being human is better than being an animal not because of our degree of servitude, but because we bear the image of God and thus can pray. In a sense, it's not that we're not animals, but that we are eucharistic animals.

To be fair, we create mostly for personal desires and pragmatic interests. I mean sure, we enjoy creating stuff, we were made in image and likeness of the greatest Creator after all, but creation by us isn't act of pure love without selfish interests. God's act was an act of pure love. He is self-sufficient and yet He created beings in his resemblance.

>Why did God create humans?

Why do humans create babies? If imperfect beings want to create life in the hopes that it will grow as a being into something like themselves, then It's pretty self evident that a loving/perfect being would want to have children too. He wants to help us grow so that we can be like Him (although obviously not nearly as, y'know, all powerful and stuff.)

Matt. 5:49 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

>>565362

bzzzt! wrong.

If anything we are the least able to know God of all creation. Think about it. If God commands a sea to split, it splits. If God commands a city wall to crumble, it crumbles. If God commands a mountain to move, it moves. If God commands an ass to speak, it speaks. If God commands us to love our neighbor, we tell him that we'll think about it and get back to him as soon as we can. Also rain check on church next week.

All of creation knows that God is their master with an infallible certainty and obeys Him accordingly. We're the only ones that seem to be stuck wondering over things, and while we wonder, we create false gods, like hollywood, music awards, most universities, the UN, and more.
