I can't believe the lunacy and falling for the sensationalist bullshit in this thread: robots are tools. They don't think, they don't know, they just do. Is it wrong to use a tool? No. My degree is about making the things and they are not magic, evil, good, nasty, or going to replace all of human society. They are there to improve human economy, like a train line or a phone.
Here's a little thought experiment for those unconvinced: is a motor bad? Is a circuit board bad? Is programming bad? If you answered yes to any of these three than so would cars, phones and computers also be. If you answered no to all of them, then congratulations, you have realized that each component of a robot is fine. So now for some individuals:

Can't kill a tool that isn't alive. Try killing a hammer.

You could say the same thing about the advent of the gun

Just plain hysteria

>Can't partake in the suffering of Christ
Neither can a car, a hammer, a phone or any other tool. Should we destroy them too?
>Is a direct mockery of the image of God
Muslims in Saudi Arabia banned snowmen for the same reason

Well we shouldn't have built roads either, and instead focused on virtue too, yeah?

This is a fantastic response, thank you.
