I just can't understand it, I get that it's easier (but come on, it's not really hard to be good) and in some cases gives instant and easy satisfaction - for example fornication and substance abuse. But how people can just agree and go "hey, those other guys own a piece of fucking dirt that we want to own. Let's go kill them, rape them, take their stuff and cause them pain and misery while having them do this stuff to our people" is beyond me.

Sorry if this all sounds brainlet, but I'm a bit sleep deprived and tired atm and just wanted to honestly ask.

You see how you spent effort in deliberating an excuse for a perceived potential backlash against what might be a "bad OP"? You posed your question and then made an excuse for asking them.

That is exactly why people choose evil. We live in a world where "kindness" is equal to "weakness" (often called "being a cuck"), so excuses get made for kindness until eventually there is no more kindness. We turn away those in need for fear of "being a cuck". We beat or kill those who are different for fear of showing weakness.

You say "it's not really hard to be good", but then immediately turn your post into a preconceived judgment of other people. It is, in fact, hard to be good. Long is the road and narrow the gate that leads to salvation.

I remember trying to be good when I was younger, and becoming offended while everyone jokes about sexual things in high school for example. Eventually I discovered porn/masturbation and continued to be offended by sex talk, thus being hypocritical and trying to be good, in fact goes against the grain. It's a losing battle. You're right when you say people choose evil so easily, but I believe it's a gradual process to reach that point.

I said that people who kill others, ruin their own lives with sin and persuade others to do the same do evil. What exactly is wrong with this?

I'm obviously not saying that I'm without fault and don't sin, I do, but what I do is incomparable to the things some others have done and are doing.

Ok, maybe calling it being good was too much. So I'll put it this way

It's not very hard not to do great evil.

It is not hard to not murder, it is not hard to not rape, it is not hard to not torture people, it is not hard to not convince people to do these things, etc
