Stop making up sins

Soy foods come from calling things which God has made pure unclean, namely meats. Vegan insistence that normal meat is bad has led to them making fake meats out of soy. I won't say eating soy is a sin. Fermented soy like soy sauce is not supposed to be so bad, especially since you just use it as a condiment. Eating the occasional tofu in a stirfry will probably not harm you either. But the people who make it a central part of their diet do so because they wrongly make it a sin to eat meat. This will probably have negative health consequences.

I will add that I don't think it's a sin to be vegan. If you are doing it for fasting purposes it could be good. Just don't call meat-eating evil, Jesus did it (he at least ate fish, and presumably the Passover lamb). And if you want to be vegan it seems to me to be dishonest with yourself to eat imitation milks and meats, just make do with actual fruits/veggies/grains/nuts/legumes/seeds.

If you are, maybe try lactose-free milk, supplement with lactaid pills, or experiment with yogurt, kefir, cheese, raw unpasteurized dairy, etc. and see if you react better to those.
