Why are there so many Andetsonites and KJV-onlyism baptists? Why are there no "normal" baptists here who read every Bible translation etc?

I think there are very few legitimate Andersonites here–a good deal of them are just memeing because Anderson is something of a meme. This is a chan after all.

Being american, they have autism. They're incapable of seeing the big picture.

There's a legitimate case that KJV is an excellent translation - it is still the Authorized version, after all.

The question is what sources you admit in choosing what goes in - KJV uses Erasmus' TR, most modern bibles look for the oldest source available, and many of the early extant codices were from Egypt, so you may be getting a view from one see of early Christendom.

I think the sourcing has arguments with some merit justifying it, but I'm surprised more don't accept language updates - doth and hath are not required.

says an Anglican who goes to a right meet liturgy lol

The Andersonites just stick in your memory more than "normal" baptists do.

>who read every Bible translation etc?

I don't read the New World Translation for spiritual food, and neither should you anon.

cause it’s a meme

Honest Answer: It's a chan. There are no "normal" anything here.

I know many Baptists in real life and none of them have ever even heard of Anderson and, while they use the KJV as their Bible of choice, they recognize the validity of several other translations.

This tbh. The truth of Anderson's message stuck in OP's faggot reprobate mormon brain.

>doth and hath are not required.

Two things here, first of all it is true that distinguishing doth and do, hath and have is useful if you want really precise language. But second, anytime they try to change the language/translation format in a new version it seems like they always sneak in all these other changes in meaning and hope nobody notice. Which is why I always check about 50 important verses, of which always at least a few are changed in substantial meaning from the KJV. So if you accept the latter why would you tolerate these changes in meaning, because they can't both be true. I think the reason people do is that they don't even care. And this is way beyond one memester in Tempe.
