I was baptized in an Episcopal church.I liked it, one of my fond memories was going on a camping trip and exploring nature.

I am of the buddhist faith now,and lately with all the stuff going on, I need Jesus.

i wanted to go back to Episcopal but they seem too leftist to me. I don't agree with the tranny stuff, gays are just weaked men, and race is real.

How do I assimilate back?

You shouldn't look to politics as a metric for salvation.

I just want to attend a church that agrees with my views.

You need to find the church that teaches the true doctrines, not one that teaches your political views.

God and His commandments provide the objective standard.

Sans race, his political views are religious views. Anon, I don't think that even the most conservative Episcopalians would approve of race realism. It may be completely true, but That's something you'd need to keep to yourself.

What makes you say that?

>>557427

The Eightfold Path is similar to the Ten Commandments

>>557428

I understand that but I just saw an article on their website were some leaders wanted go against trump's tran ban. You can only do so much in the name of 'tolerance' until it turns back to bite you

We believe in more than the Ten Commandments, anon.

Because God is the objective standard of. And His statutes such as the Ten Commandments give us that objective standard. So find the denomination with the right teachings, that's what matters.

>>557432

OP if I were you I would look into finding a more conservative denom like trad Presbyterian, or conservative Lutheran. I would advise you to try and stay within Protestantism.

But be sure you are returning because you have realized your sin, and are repenting of it.

>>557424

Christianity is for everybody anon.

>his political views are religious views

So, if you voted for Trump, you're a true Christian?

Politics and religion should never mix. Ever.

3d9b73 No.557445

That’s fine. If you’re not familiar with Christianity, it makes sense that you wouldn’t be aware of this.

The Old Testament of the Bible relates the ‘’Old Covenant’’, the Law given to us by God to the Prophet Moses on Mt. Sinai. This Old Covenant includes the Ten Commandments as well as additional moral laws; it also includes judicial law regarding the governing of the Israelite people and ceremonial law that describes how sacrifices to God should be done to atone for sins.

In the year 0 AD, God fulfilled thousands of years of prophecy took on flesh and became the man Jesus Christ. During His life on Earth before his Ascencion into Heaven, He gave us a New Covenant to follow. This is related in the moral code of the New Testament and is the code Christians follow.

Let me clarify this a little. Having a chance to read this now that I'm home I realize I forgot to make my main point.

The moral law of the Old Covenant (including the 10) still applies. In the New Covenant, this moral law is discussed by Christ and expanded on, meaning Christians follow a sort of hybrid system.

Would you agree with this anon >>557441 ?

>>557443

In my eyes, the left Christians are an oxymoron since the cause of future sin starts there. Wouldn't you as a christian, want to see more people following God?

Regarding the true Christians thing, I think the disciples were the true Christians since he appeared before them.

>>557445

Does that mean you also follow Leviticus too? The only devout Christians I know didn't celebrate Christmas or Halloween since they are pagan traditions.

>>557447

?

>>557465

That would be true If Christianity didn't have a lot of sects to it. This just a simple 'Help me find a verse related to x thread' but instead churches with politically incorrect views.

Sounds like Jehovah's Witnesses. You should stay away from them.

the only views you will find in Protestantism, is liberalism( this includes all the satanic left) and conservatism, which is liberalism from 30 years ago. The evils of society today are caused by contraception ( disrupting women's moods, estrogen in the water and much more). There are 40,000 Protestant denominations and growing every day, I doubt you could find one against it ( if the pastor went against it, nobody would be in the congregation). In 1920s, the Anglicans were the first to cave in to the world and say contraception was not a sin, the rest of the Protestants followed. before that every Christian knew contraception was a sin. even the Orthodox allow contraception (much more limited), and they also allow divorce ( up to three times). the Catholic Church is the only church against contraception and divorce, it is the only traditional church. It contains the full truth (although a lot of priests don't preach it today, you can find some). choosing a church/parish based on your views is a good idea, but make sure your views are God's views, and God's views are not found in fullness outside the Catholic Church. because self-denial in the favour of God's will out of love (willing the good of the other) and charity, is the essence of Christianity.

>(Mt16:24)Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

concern yourself with doing Whatever he tells you, as Mary commanded the servants

>(Jn2:5)His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."

and doing God's will

>(Lk1:38)And Mary said: Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it done to me according to thy word…

and you will find

>(Jn14:6)Jesus answered, "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

the Catholic Church is the Faith handed down by Jesus Christ to the apostles as testified in the Bible (the full and complete one, without any books removed by Protestants, I recommend RSVCE) and the writings of the early church, which many were disciples of the apostles themselves. as Blessed John Henry Newman said ( a convert from Anglicanism who became a Cardinal, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Henry_Newman) there is no church today that is as similar to the early Christian church as the Catholic Church.

here's some links to help you know more about our blessed Lord, Jesus Christ, hominum salvator.

Why lie here?

They didn't decide until the council of Trent.

>there is no church today that is as similar to the early Christian church as the Catholic Church.

"The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day." CCC 841

1 John 2:22-23

"Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also."
