What will heaven be like because I’d like if it was like the shire

b4adfc No.553462

You'll be with God and enjoy it. That's the best way to describe it.

Postresurrection: You'll be with God and enjoy it + rule creation (our prime role in the first place)/be coheirs with Christ.

I remember a long time ago, someone read to me that in heaven, work would be pleasurable, children would be able to play with the dangerous animals without problems, we would get a new spiritual body.

Rule stuff? Create stuff? Delve deeper into mysteries of God and thus developing ourselves infinitely?

You probably get to eat manna and divine fruits and there's angelic chorus all the time and you don't feel feels and there's no evil people to ruin nice things and you get to see God's face without dying. You ever get chills that raise your arm hairs when you listen to a good song? Also that but better and all the time.

I imagine it as a very lucid dream (not lucid dream, as a technique) wherein your go forth and create and populate wherever you go. The universe is this big because it needs to be gardened and worked with for all eternity.

I like the Biblical descriptions of Heaven (or New Earth or Paradise or Zion or what have you), though they are no doubt symbolic. A city of pure gold with Saints as citizens and Jesus as King. A large banquet hall with all types of delicious foods located on a Mountain overlooking all the Earth. I'll tell you what really excites me about Heaven, though: the Book of Life. That metaphor gives me chills. I hope that Heaven is a library of God's work, filled to the brim with all of creation and written in the most immersive language. Equipped with an incorruptible body (and therefore, an incorruptible mind capable of comprehending and retaining everything), I would love to pour over every minute detail from the conception of the universe. I want to go through volumes of the physical framework, logic and maths, and revel in the countless volumes that describe every moment of time in existence. I want to see how everything affects everything, and how each creature had a niche in the Divine Plan.

Most importantly, I want to spend eternity reading each person's personal volume and discover every single thought, feeling, and motivation everyone ever had and how they all fit together. Once I come to the biographies, I would be torn between starting with the first tome of Adam and continuing chronologically until I reached the last born human, or starting with myself (coincidentally also named Adam) and branching out in a web from those who had a direct impact on my life. I want to be able to number the hairs on everyone else's head, too, so great is my desire to understand people. I want to read the books of the people who have hurt me the most, or of the people whom I have despised the most, and come into infinite sympathy for them. How could I not love them once I find out why they behaved the way they did? Once I've read every book in the library, and all of God's passion-play is laid out before me, I want to say, "wow," and fall at the authors feet and cry out my appreciation to Him for all eternity.

That's what I hope Heaven is like.

Full of sublime sceneries these pictures do not even compare in the slightest as if the testament to God and His glory reflected in those beautiful creation. I am kind of wishing that because I always have a bad case of wanderlust and a sucker for nature and sceneries. Also a bit off-topic, is wanderlust a "Lust" as in sinful?

1.) It's just the upper levels of active creation in every concurrent possible existence similar to flower of creation metaphorically speaking

2.) It's a polar opposite of creation in the Hellish realm

You know I like to think heaven will be a place full of adventure, where evil won't cease to exist but instead good always triumphs over evil. I also like the idea of heaven as being a macabre place, like corpse bride and so on. But it seems like the macabre is too associated with fallen things to exist in the afterlife.

Luke 22:18

I've always been curious what Jesus's opinion is on tobacco. He didn't have access to it at the time, but I'd think he wouldn't mind. Anyways, if cigarettes aren't allowed in heaven, I doubt I'd want one anyways.

Consider all the opinions and fetishes I have seen on the Internet, I doubt that it would be pleasant to read

c98077 No.554274

Scripture seems to be pretty clear that we'll be doing things much like we do now, but it's unclear what and in what capacity; just that things will finally be good and stay good because sin won't be around to ruin and corrupt everything anymore. If we were going to just sit around and bask in God's presence for all eternity, why would we receive new bodies like Jesus did after His resurrection? Why was He still eating if that wouldn't really matter anymore? What would we need of governments or nations and why would Christ return "with the governments on His shoulders"?

I imagine things like >>553438, >>553983, and >>554191 (and who knows, probably even >>554271) will all exist simply because there are people like you and me who have desired such things all our lives who now have the means to obtain them. The Lord said He would grant us the desires of our hearts, and the one thing I want more than anything else is to just wander and witness all of Creation.
