I see it much differently. Atheists want to ask why God doesn't reveal himself in front of their faces and shout "I exist!" or stop suffering or make people be good. But I answer this question by saying, "What makes you think that doing ANY of that would make people believe in God, much less love Him? What makes you think that God's giving of all of those things to humanity wouldn't just make us MORE ungrateful, MORE rebellious, and MORE atheistic? What makes you think that humanity, when revealed our most true and apparent path will follow it rationally without deviating EVEN MORE?" I think this is the proper answer to this conundrum. Not that your answer is bad or wrong, I just think that God already knows the best way to reveal Himself to us and is already doing it.

That's how it actually worked when Jesus Christ did miracles in the bible, people outright denied he was holy and only then did he refused to answer further requests for miracles since nothing he could do would convince them.
