Oppose to what, catholicism?
The vatican admits there's no complete doctrine and it's always under development. What was Roman Catholicism now, isn't the same 1000 years ago or in the future. For all you know what is considered standard practice now is heretical in the future, and if the pope has the power(the keys) to kick people out of the kingdom, you better hope all the pope came their mouth shut.
>warped belief systems and confusion of the Bible.
Protestants want to know was the authors originally meant when they wrote the scriptures, not make a theological claim and then insert the implementations as truth, like the blessed Mary is an image of Elijah.
The issue is the original words in the bible sometimes have different meanings and context isn't clear cut.
>What kinds of people are pulled into these bastardized religions, it's ridiculous.
