This place can be a bit slow. Are there any other good forums for an Orthodox Christian? Is the reddit any good?

872da0 No.548035

r/christianity/ will suit your ADHD needs for posting speed.

Is it traditionalist?

f1f281 No.548043

OrthodoxChristianity.net is alright, but registering is closed (well, it's not, but mods stopped confirming accounts).

r/orthodoxchristianity is a modernist den of vipers full of ecumenists, Origenists, and liberals. Only watch from a distance.

>>548042

r/christianity is about as modernist as you can get. Atheists and Gnostics get more support than Christians there.

r/truechristian isn't any better, even if they pretend to be (and besides, they're mostly Protestants).

>r/orthodoxchristianity is a modernist den of vipers full of ecumenists, Origenists, and liberals. Only watch from a distance.

A shame. Seems like people will be getting the wrong idea about the faith there. Maybe I will check it out anyway to see if I can challenge their lies

You'll probably just get banned.

From what I understand, they are tirelessly devoted to the most important yet criminally overlooked book of the Bible: The Gospel According to Muh Feels, and correcting the countless doctrinal errors that seem to have slipped in that are in complete contradiction with its fundamental teachings.

to get a account confirmed on orthodoxchristianity.net i had to email the forum admin, not sure if thats the case anymore.

/r/Christianity - run by Protestants where even questioning liberalism (acceptance of active gays, transgenders, female 'priestesses', liberalism) and advocating for any traditionalism will get you shut down fast. I've been banned there on like 5 accounts.

/r/OrthodoxChristianity - the forum would be OK if it wasn't run by a leftist woman. She puts her agenda in front of everything, so more traditional Eastern Orthodox people get shut down fast, as well. She's a real cunt, that one.

/r/Catholicism - the only forum on the internet I really enjoy. The mods there are priests and seminarians. They're as traditional as Catholics can get and it's the opposite of /r/Christianity, where any liberals get shut down ASAP. If you go there, expect traditional Catholicism.

This. Though it's becoming just as easy to get banned here, since reddit has invested and subverted.

First of all, why do you keep going back?

Second, why do you have 5+ reddit accounts?

4fe348 No.548083

R/OrthodoxChristianity has it's moments, but it's often pretty bad. I've been banned there twice, once for asking questions about how their antisemitism rule would be applied in a thread about them launching that rule, the other time I was banned for antisemitism for posting "-( ° ʖ °)╯╲___卐卐卐卐 Don't mind me" in response to a mod going on a power trip, wasn't even trying to be antisemitic or anything. Also the thread I posted the second in was a virtue signaling thread, they were circlejerking about how converts shouldn't complain about not being able to find wives and how we need to hook up with cradles, not really accepting how widespread the cradle faithlessness problem is

>they were circlejerking about how converts shouldn't complain about not being able to find wives

Converts have a hard time finding wives in orthodoxy?

4fe348 No.548095

>>548090

In my experience there two popular scenarios. The first is people who live in the middle of no where. These people want to find and Orthodox spouses and aren't able to because there is no one in their age range, this affects both genders seemingly equally. The second scenario is people in more populated areas. These Orthodox converts, usually men can't find wives because their standard isn't Orthodoxy, as in a woman who is part of the Church, but rigid theological orthodoxy, as in a woman believing nearly exactly what he does. It's an interesting situation in which I think the blame needs to be shared, but reddit can't really deal with complicated things so the usually white male converts are blamed because fuck those guys am I right

f23d3c No.548102

>>548095

Oh I see.

>The first is people who live in the middle of no where

That's not really Orthodoxy's fault though. That's true of most any prot Church in my area of nowhere too.

>1 Corinthians 7:14

>For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his believing wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.

What did he mean by this?

4fe348 No.548104

That those who convert to the faith should not divorce their spouses, even if they will not convert to the faith

There are a lot of people that show up on that forum thinking it's normal and they ask genuine questions about Christianity. People with flairs like 'transgender lesbian Methodist' or atheists reply and it's an abomination

>Second, why do you have 5+ reddit accounts?

Creating an account takes like 10 seconds, tops. :D

Oh yeah, I was in that thread. There was a convert to Orthodoxy asking about how to find a wife and they were talking him down for it. I really felt bad for him.

I hate to be that guy, but maybe that's God's way of telling you that you need to spend more time with Him and go out and minister to the lost and the poor. I only check this board once or twice a week and I haven't had any problems.

cb6897 No.548180

This board used to be much lower on the home page, it's growing at least.

I have accounts at OrthodoxChristianity.net and Euphrosynoscafe.com but, I don't use them. Both sites were created by the same guy who used to be a Genuine Orthodox Church priest and who was asking for donations online as he was going broke while in a adulterous marriage, or at least that's what I picked up when quick scanning his social media accounts.

In fact I haven't posted in over a year to either message boards. I don't like message boards as they develop personality cults. Some random dudes with handles and avatars pushing their weight around with 10,000 posts under their belt, this I don't like.

I much prefer image boards and so if and when I do post it's usually here even with it's heavy ecumenism.

I'm active there from time to time. As long as you're actually canonical you won't be permabanned and can help make it look less like an LGBT Marxist activist forum.

I've had good discussions there, but there are a few fanatical leftists.

One of the best places I go to to discuss traditionalist Catholicism is a furry telegram group

I am not even joking

Orthodoxy is the only denomination in North America where men outnumber women.
