By no means do I wish to fund those who hate us, and I would gladly give up supporting any of the above if I were to learn it a sin, but I have to ask, where do we draw the line? We live in a world filled with non-Christians, so how do we choose who to support and who to avoid? Video games are probably a poor choice of topic anyway for this subject since they're a completwly optional and dispoaable form of entertainment, but the question still stands.

There were a lot of JRPGs that were anti-religion between the 80s and 90s. BoF2, Energy Breaker, FF7, and Xenogears come to mind. The current AAA or PS2 era eastern ones are apolitical. That could change though. SMT gets leeway because it just gives you the choice to side with God, Satan, or neither. Every side is portrayed as being bad except for the neutral route.

I think the main issue with popular media is how sheep are supposed to treat it.
The anti-Christians want to you to treat
1. the news as true
2. entertainment media as depicting reality (this could happen in the real world)
3. the Bible as fiction and fantasy
4. God as non-existent.
while a Christian should treat

2. entertainment media as fiction depicting a fantasy world (not Earth, no human characters, no divine, but a human creator)

It's the struggle all redpilled people have go through, but once you got your assumptions right, it's not an issue anymore.
Also there is a psychological state called suspension of disbelief, which you're supposed to be in while consuming fiction (like video games). But you can learn to keep your disbelief on (and not suspend it), so it won't affect your actual beliefs.

We living in a time where they can throw this kind of blatant symbolism into children's cartoons show, before hey had to be much more subtle about it. You would have a point if it wasn't so common, besides, it was much more subtle/well crafted in the earlier cartoons, and you can tell from watching the first episode of Gravity Falls.
