Helping out prepare for charity drive the church has planned.

We find ourselves alone.

She's talking to me and smiling happily.

She notices I'm acting weird.

"What's wrong anon?"

"N-nothing it's fine."

"Naughty, don't lie!~"

Confess my feelings for her and tell her how I feel because I don't want her to break her promise to God.

She thanks me for being honest with her.

Feel awkward.

"Uhh… You're welco-"

She hugs me.

Tells me shes had "those feelings" for me for a while now, she was just too scared to tell me because of her vows.

"I didn't want to say anything because I didn't want to risk telling you and not returning my feelings…"

Tells me how she felt pressure to become a Nun since her sister became one. Her eyes begin to water.

N-no cry please… Oh God what have I done?

Eventually get her to cheer up.

"What now?" She asks.

I…

I tell her to wait until she's cleared her mind and that she herself is ready to "break her oath to God" for "someone like me".

"I'll be there with you."

Fast forward a bit later when we've all said our goodbyes for today.

Go into the confession box with our Father

Tell him everything.

"I fell in love with Nun-chan, told her, my intention was to have peace of mind after she rejected me… But now she wants to break her vows for me. I intend on marrying her but I still feel awful. It wasn't suppose to go like this."

… …. …

… …. …

"I see… Well love does work in mysterious ways—" Goes on for a bit.

"The others however may be a little… Off-put by it all."

Come home, bang head against the wall, neighbour bangs back strangely enough.

Put the kettle on.

Update thread.

Well shit lads, worst case scenario we find another church.

A-at least hell's warm r-right?

> once you commit a vow to a celibate life you can't take it back otherwise you were lying to God this whole time

One small issue with that, is the fact that Jesus told believers not to make vows in Matthew 5:33-37

> "Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform to the Lord what you have sworn.’ - But I say to you, Do not take an oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, or by the earth, for it is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. 36 And do not take an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black. 37 Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.

not to labour the point, but we see this echoed in the epistle of James

> "But above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation."

- 5:12

and

> Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” 16 But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.

- 4:13-16

which itself is an elaboration on

> Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.

- Prov 27:1

so it might be argued that taking such a vow is itself an act of rebellious sinful boasting - a 'lie to God' as you so succinctly put it, for which one might expect the same reward as Ananais and Sapphira

and since all sin must be repented of, the believer who takes such a vow needs to pay it off quickly - Deut 23:21, Eccl 5:4

so it would be best for them to immediately ask forgiveness of The Lord for their believing themselves of such ability as to give anything to the God who has everything - Psalm 50:12 - and their arrogance in believing their works could please Him - 1Cor 1:29, Eph 2:9

TL;DR anything not done of faith In Christ, is Sin - and Christ's faith specifically teaches that making vows is wrong

>One small issue with that, is the fact that Jesus told believers not to make vows in Matthew 5:33-37

Then we have to agree with Muslims that say that Paul was not follower of Christ for he made vows Acts 18:18, just as James of Jersalem did.

>epistle of James 5:12

This not condemnation of all vows, for he himself taken vow as Nazarite as we learn form Jerome

>- 4:13-16

>If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that

"There are eunuchs, who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven. He that can take, let him take it."

Will of God right here.

>- Prov 27:1

The victims of the wicked are abominable to the Lord: the vows of the just are acceptable.

Sam book, chapter 15:8

>so it might be argued that taking such a vow is itself an act of rebellious sinful boasting - a 'lie to God' as you so succinctly put it, for which one might expect the same reward as Ananais and Sapphira

Again, Paul then is worthy of Death for he made such vows

>and since all sin must be repented of, the believer who takes such a vow needs to pay it off quickly - Deut 23:21, Eccl 5:4

If it was sin but it's not - it's will of God.

>so it would be best for them to immediately ask forgiveness of The Lord for their believing themselves of such ability as to give anything to the God who has everything - Psalm 50:12 -

"He that can take, let him take it." "But I say to the unmarried, and to the widows: It is good for them if they so continue, even as I."

>and their arrogance in believing their works could please Him - 1Cor 1:29, Eph 2:9

"Thy works please God." says Salomon after his repentance. "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus in good works, which God hath prepared that we should walk in them." says Paul.

>TL;DR anything not done of faith In Christ, is Sin - and Christ's faith specifically teaches that making vows is wrong

Vows of virginity is sign of faith of Christ for before Christ no one took them. That's the first thing. Second thing is that notion of "anything not done of faith In Christ, is Sin" then we must say once again that Paul was heretic for he said about Athenians that they were very religious and that we are to keep all that is good what we recive from world and of course that Gentiles who had no faith in Christ at all were just.

Op. It sounds like she became a nun for thr absolute wrong reason. Perhaps youre a sign of this? Maybe He sent you to make her realize that and what she really wants. And that it wasn't to be a nun. Perhaps tell her this? She obviously needs to repent but it seriously sounds like she wasnt meant to be a nun if she burns with passion.

8a4001 No.545016

>>545014

Assuming of course that actually happened which is a big assumption. But if so, I actually think this is the one in a million times Id say she needs to give up the nunnery. If she joined out of pressure wasn't she lying to God the whole time? And you were just the way He showed her.

Sounds too good to be true for you OP but God might be letting you have this one.
