Anderson is worshiping a creation. "The Word of God," in the sense of John 1:1, refers to Jesus, Who is not the Biblical text, but a Person. I often worry that Christians are becoming like Muslims, who put their Quran on a pedestal.

I went to a Lutheran church once. My girlfriend brought me and I wanted to stay open minded. The pastor shows us videos that looked like they were ripped off of Facebook, said he was a feminist, and on behalf of the "church" forgave all those who divorced and were treated poorly by the church (as they should be). It took a lot of willpower not to stand up and leave. Lutherism is a bastardization of our beloved religion and it must be cast out like the tumor it is.

It’s really only certain Protestant groups that take sola scriptura to its logical extreme where their idea of the Bible starts to look like the Quran. I don’t think anyone is at the level of claiming that the Bible is an untranslatable linguistic miracle that is impossible to have been written by mere mortals, but it is concerning if people conflate the Logos and the Bible.
