I've been pretty stressed lately, mainly because I am thinking of those unimportant things. I should ask there, I suppose.

How can mentally challenged people work with the christ? Some have manageable problems like dyslexics(and illiterates, but that's not really mental damage) needing help to read the bible, to a increasing number of autistic people that literally can't have faith in god, and other problems.

I know that everyone has their challenges, but at this point I can't make sense of it anymore.

The Bible says that it is literally impossible for anyone to 'have faith' unless God enables them.

Anencephaly isn’t a mental illness. I listed neurological and mental disorders together (the distinction is a little arbitrary though since mental illnesses almost always have their genesis in some difference in the brain, pic related) because both affect how people behave and think and respond to things in their life. My grandfather with dementia recently died. He had had Alzheimer’s for many years before he finally passed. He had been a Catholic but as far as I know both of my grandparents had lapsed in the faith. He was still a person, but just deteriorating until he would have trouble recognising family members, remembering things, understanding concepts. What could be done to “save” him in this state? And what would be the difference between just taking advantage of the weakness of his mind to make him accept whatever I tell him and a real salvation?
