Why does God make disabled people? And I'm not talking about just the blind and deaf, but what about ones like vid related that would have died in Biblical times?

Also, what does the Bible say on how we should treat the disabled?

c2d5f8 No.535656

Compared to Adam we are all physically deformed.

More importantly though the natural man is spiritually dead.

As in, not alive, incapable of living, and unable to experience the flourishing of his soul.

I don't think he makes them he just allows it to happen.

You're a KJV-only Independent Baptist, aren't you?

When does your Bible say that death entered the world?

As Jesus was passing by, He saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened that the works of God would be displayed in him. While it is daytime, we must do the work of Him who sent Me.

This world is a place of punishment. It is designed to test a person's capacity for truth, reason, and virtue to the highest degree so that only the best souls will make it heaven while the worst shall be purified by lakes of fire.

The tests are different for all people, but they are the tests their souls need the most. The strong and beautiful must learn temperance and humility or the vices that will come to them so easily will destroy them. Likewise, the weak and crippled must learn an inner strength to overcome the failures of their own minds and bodies, and not despair or lose faith. Which test is more difficult is subjective, and because we are given free will, not all people will chose virtue.

We must remember that we are all children of God, created with a purpose, and must treat each other with some degree of patience and understanding. If we are judged to be worth of it, all of us will meet again in paradise, stronger, for having our souls tested and not found wanting.

Aright, bro; we're on the same page. And we see further testimony to this end in Rom 5:12

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

So we see Sin brings with it the curse of Death, and since the first man rebelled against our Creator, so we all inherit that rebellion against the One who is The Life; and it naturally follows that if we reject Life, we choose Death.

So way back in the Genesis of Humanity, we were cursed by God and our bodies given over to the ability to degenerate and die. So when we talk about why there is sickness and death and severe disability in the world, the Bible clearly tells us it is because God has punished mankind for our rebellion.

That's why I would argue that yes, God has made disabled people - since all of us are imperfect in comparison to Adam, in that all of us die.

The rules pretty clearly state that this is a board for Christian believers. I don't really feel like arguing with Buddhists tonight, so I'm going to go eat some noodles instead; kthxlubai

God sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. Suffering in this life is to some degree arbitrary. It isn't all a test. It doesn't all stand to improve us. Accepting suffering that can teach you nothing is a lesson in itself.

e50b25 No.535713

>>535653

Everyone is subject to Adam's curse since the fall. Some have it worst than others, and everyone is subject to the effects of sin in the world. Being saved delivered our souls, but our bodies still has to bare the curse.

I had a cousin with a severely impaired son with a slew of medical conditions that passed away about a year ago. People always asked why God could just let him be normal, or even let him be born at all to save him and the family the suffering.

That family poured their love unto this child, and even in his suffering, he still enjoyed life because of his parent's efforts. The mother and father grew and mature faster than probably any parents I've met.

Disabled people can be a blessing too, and no man should have the power to take away their lives. They can live a fulfilling life, and be a blessing to the people around them.

6f8885 No.535715

There is no event in this world that equally inflicts either curses or blessings on all people, with the exception being the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Suffering is arbitrary only in the sense that all people suffer to various degrees, and all suffering does improve us. You admit as much yourself when you say that accepting suffering, when it appears to teach you nothing, is a lesson in itself.

The side note here is that there are obvious material benefits to this attitude. Suffering is a test of souls. Good souls are useful when they are still in this world. Good souls is what good societies are made of, with good souls being a product of free will as they reject temptations and embrace the word of God. All of us are called to accept Christ.

>This world is a place of punishment

Uhm, no, Mr. Bodhisattva, this place was created good and was given to us to dominate. Infact, according to bible, it is the creation that is "suffering", so to say, due to our current state.
