Skills: Don't bother doing actions to raise this it'll happen on it's own as you do actions related to the skill and certain items will also raise or lower these stats
Watchful:
How perceptive you are, a good skill for any amateur detective, constable, or nosy busy body
Shadowy:
How good you are at sneaking and subterfuge. if you wish to be good at any sort of spy or criminal activity this skill is a must for you.
Dangerous:
The skill of strength and combat ability. Be a giant of a man, or the wiliest of combatants. Or simply have that air about you that makes people give you a wide bearth
Persuasive:
How did I get to be so affluent? Well my good sir I am so glad you asked. It all started way back when I was but a lad… blah blah blah…… (you get the drift)

these are bits of clothing and such that will give bonuses (or negatives) to your skills after all, if someone is clad in dirty rags you wouldn't think him as important as the man in the finely tailored suit, but you might ignore him to your detriment.

Fluff: Once, he was a famed explorer, adventurer, huntsman! Tales of his expeditions into the furthest reaches of the dark continent were quite famous among paper articles meant for men and literate women you know.
That was 30 years ago. When you could sail in and out of London with ease.
Trapped in the city beneath the waves, he found himself stranded in this jungle of brick and darkness, which actually is far less exiciting than it sounds. It's nothing compared to the hunt and safari to be taken out there among the hotentots, let him go on an hour rant about that!
He had prepared all these supplies for his next safari, but now absolutely nothing to do with it, he thought he might as well make something of himself until one day he might escape this place.
Sir Winchester runs a gun store in one of the corners of town that allow such a thing, selling and repairing rifles for the enterprising huntsman, the occasional officer, or other. . .unseemly characters. And with 30 years of little else to do but fix guns and dream of the hunt that eludes him, he has become quite proficient at both.

Fluff: A starving Artist, how droll and amusing and altogether accurate a phrase. Brandt was a starving artist, a poet to be exact, one of the countless ones in the streets of the Austrian capital of Vienna. He was British in origin, and proud of it, but he was born after the fall of the Empire, five years after London was swept away in the dead of night by a swarm of bats. He family left the Isles to escape the chaos of the void of power left by Victoria's disappearance, along with the rest of the government. They moved in with relatives on the continent, french relatives. Life in the French Empire was stiffling to Brandt, so he left his family and traveled to Austria to practice his art. He is just finding out however that while he is a good poet, and people love his work, it doesn't pay the bills, and more importantly, fill his stomach. Something's changed though, Brandt has been having odd dreams as of late, of a glorious city in a all encompassing darkness, of dark waves from a black sea washing upon a umber shoreline, and of towering spires of violant glowing in the darkness. He awoke to a surprise one day, his window replaced with iron bars, and his view being that of the city that Haunted his dreams. London. It was London. He'd heard of rumours, but here it was right before his very eyes, the fallen city, and here he was, in a jail cell miles above it.

Fluff: Born in sin to a pair of indiscreet lovers, Charlie was left on the streets of Fallen London as a babe. Fortuitously, he managed to avoid one of the numerous grisly fates that so often befall abandoned children long enough to end up running the rooftops with the urchin gangs, learning from the older lads and lasses, and passing on what he cared to impart to the younger. Over this time, he developed sure feet and light fingers - ideal for darting across a landscape of slate and liberating unsuspecting gentlefolk of their effects.
But nobody can run with the urchin gangs forever. Once you leave childhood behind, you must make your way down from the rooftops and make your way in the world with the skills you've learned.
