As such when Miguel was searching for scrap to sell for his next hit he accidentally found a swarm of experimental, and very renegade, medical nanites that escaped from an american medical facility. Secret Identity: Oscar Messario
Origin Story: There was nothing "super" about the disease in its early stages. Oscar's wealthy parents took the boy to every doctor, specialist, surgeon, and credible witch doctor from Los Angeles to Timbuktu, and no one could even provide an explanation of what the disease was. The best guess they got was from a South Korean neurosurgeon; "It's probably genetic." The illness ravaged Oscar from top to bottom, sending him into foaming at the mouth seizures on a frequent basis. One day, the boy's mother noticed that her son's skin could change texture at the drop of a hat, feeling waxy one second and then scaly the next. By some miracle, while Oscar was on life support, the seizures stopped. It seemed that whatever disease ailed the boy was in remission.
Oscar thought he was in the clear up until one fateful day when some high school bullies cornered him in the hallways at the end of class. When one bully lunged at him, Oscar threw a punch, only to discover that his right arm had turned into an aluminum baseball bat! The other ruffians quickly fled once the home run connected. None of the bullies were believed, and Oscar remembered getting several weeks of in school suspension for that little incident.
It is now December 1st, 2017, and Oscar has just graduated from high school. His dad already has plans to set him up with working in his accounting firm, but Oscar has other plans. Convincing his parents that he needs "real-world experience", Oscar booked a flight to New York City to develop his powers further.

Civilian Identity: Henry Peridot
Origin Story: A surveyor by profession and a spelunker by passion, Henry was in the Alps entering the depths of the earth through the Gouffre Mirolda cave system on vacation in what he believed to be an undiscovered branch. Drawn deeper and deeper he eventually stopped in an open cavern and at it's centre a formation of crystals he had never seen before faintly glowing and calling to him. Upon touching it Henry blacked out and was pulled out of the cave system by the rest of the spelunking team who had been in the branch with him but had no memory of the strange formation at it's centre. Upon awaking Henry found small crystal growing from the earth around him and crystal dust that had to be constantly cleaned from his hands. Over the next few days he slowly gained control of his new power and began creating art from it both as a means of practicing it's use and for the sake of his own personal enjoyment (how often are you going to find a perfect snowflake made of quartz or a crown where every section is a different crystal without any metal to set it in). The one downside Henry has found is that while rough shapes are easy the intricacies of a cut or carved diamond escape him so instead he has taken up carving them himself as a hobby and the fact that his body constantly produces a thin layer of dust from the gems that he never seemed to get a hang of stopping.

Before them she had been a humble girl from Galway that lived in a small but city house with her father Jason and older sister Elizabeth. Patricia had never met her mother, at least not when she was old enough to remember. She passed away when Patricia was just a baby but she had already formed a strong bond with her as mother and child often do. Her father and sister seemed to already know that her powers would one day emerge and it was explained that her mother was the reason why she was gifted with these powers. Apparently it was something to do with her unique DNA, supposedly she was 'not of this world', whatever that was supposed to mean. Her father joked that she was an angel who cane down from the moon. Her father also claimed that his family were descendents of the hero Fionn mac Cumhaill but he did mot seem to think that was the origin of her power. Patricia simply wanted to continue with her stufies, hoping to get the qualifications necessary to study Medicine at college but her father and sister urged her to focus on developing her powers. Patricia would consider herself a kind and caring should but she was also shy and anxious and so heroics was not something that came too easy for her. But her family taught her that with these powers she had a responsibility to help people and if used correctly she could potentially help more people than she could with a career in medicine.

Civilian Identity: Henry Peridot
Origin Story: A surveyor by profession and a spelunker by passion, Henry was in the Alps entering the depths of the earth through the Gouffre Mirolda cave system on vacation in what he believed to be an undiscovered branch. Drawn deeper and deeper he eventually stopped in an open cavern and at it's centre a formation of crystals he had never seen before faintly glowing and calling to him. Upon touching it Henry blacked out and was pulled out of the cave system by the rest of the spelunking team who had been in the branch with him but had no memory of the strange formation at it's centre. Upon awaking Henry found small crystal growing from the earth around him and crystal dust that had to be constantly cleaned from his hands. Over the next few days he slowly gained control of his new power and began creating art from it both as a means of practicing it's use and for the sake of his own personal enjoyment (how often are you going to find a perfect snowflake made of quartz or a crown where every section is a different crystal without any metal to set it in). The one downside Henry has found is that while rough shapes are easy the intricacies of a cut or carved diamond escape him so instead he has taken up carving them himself as a hobby and the fact that his body constantly produces a thin layer of dust from the gems that he never seemed to get a hang of stopping.

Origin Story: The Silencer's story begins in an unnamed U.S. governmental laboratory somewhere in the Nevada desert. Civilian Identity: Henry Peridot
Origin Story: A surveyor by profession and a spelunker by passion, Henry was in the Alps entering the depths of the earth through the Gouffre Mirolda cave system on vacation in what he believed to be an undiscovered branch. Drawn deeper and deeper he eventually stopped in an open cavern and at it's centre a formation of crystals he had never seen before faintly glowing and calling to him. Upon touching it Henry blacked out and was pulled out of the cave system by the rest of the spelunking team who had been in the branch with him but had no memory of the strange formation at it's centre. Upon awaking Henry found small crystal growing from the earth around him and crystal dust that had to be constantly cleaned from his hands. Over the next few days he slowly gained control of his new power and began creating art from it both as a means of practicing it's use and for the sake of his own personal enjoyment (how often are you going to find a perfect snowflake made of quartz or a crown where every section is a different crystal without any metal to set it in). The one downside Henry has found is that while rough shapes are easy the intricacies of a cut or carved diamond escape him so instead he has taken up carving them himself as a hobby and the fact that his body constantly produces a thin layer of dust from the gems that he never seemed to get a hang of stopping.

Origin story:Sometimes one is having a normal day walking down the street's enjoying themselves. Sometimes however one finds themselves somehow absentmindedly getting lost in the city. No biggie right? Well sometimes you ask for help and approach some really weird guy.
You know really religious looking wise and nice looking guy? He say's to follow him leads you into a back alley and promptly you pass out feeling a sudden pain in your face. You wake up with some ancient golden colored chinese symbol on your cheek.

Now he is simply The Silencer, tasked with the true objective of the research - to serve and protect his country by eliminating dangerous and criminal superheroes, in addition to those who would stand against America.
His heavily augmented mind has allowed him to unlock the secrets of psychokinesis, starting with probably his most potent power, telekinesis. His intense training has led him to be physically fit and a skilled fighter even without his powers as well.

Until her powers developed when she turned 16, Patricia was unaware of their existence. Before them she had been a humble girl from Galway that lived in a small but city house with her father Jason and older sister Elizabeth. Patricia had never met her mother, at least not when she was old enough to remember. She passed away when Patricia was just a baby but she had already formed a strong bond with her as mother and child often do. Her father and sister seemed to already know that her powers would one day emerge and it was explained that her mother was the reason why she was gifted with these powers. Apparently it was something to do with her unique DNA, supposedly she was 'not of this world', whatever that was supposed to mean. Her father joked that she was an angel who cane down from the moon. Her father also claimed that his family were descendents of the hero Fionn mac Cumhaill but he did mot seem to think that was the origin of her power. Patricia simply wanted to continue with her stufies, hoping to get the qualifications necessary to study Medicine at college but her father and sister urged her to focus on developing her powers. Patricia would consider herself a kind and caring should but she was also shy and anxious and so heroics was not something that came too easy for her. But her family taught her that with these powers she had a responsibility to help people and if used correctly she could potentially help more people than she could with a career in medicine.

Secret Identity: Mahmud Khalid
Origin Story: Mahmud felt numb, not in that he couldn't feel the stone in his boot or the glass digging into his knees where he kneeled. Instead, the presence of the extremists and his own eminent death didn't bother him. The man behind him was shouting something, french Mahmud thought, too bad I don't understand it. he never heard the gunshot.
The next scene was veiwed by senses Mahmud never knew he had. His cells were repairing the damage. Something much bigger than his world, somehow bigger than the world as it can be known speaks with ideas, images, emotions, but not words. Still, Mahmud knows he is it's brother, it's son and it's father. He is it's appendage upon the Earth. But it is not any god as is taught on Earth. The last not-word was "awake"
Mahmud awoke, there was an echo from the gunshot. His own blood hadn't finished splattering on the floor. Rather than marvel at his own power, he is simply annoyed that the stone is still in his boot.

1. It was pleasant to find a picture of his friend Marcus in the rubble. The one friend he felt he could still truly rely on after this whole ordeal Evan had caused. It occurred to Ron to ask, "Have you experienced anything strange since the explosion? Like, changes?" He expected confusion from by roommate on the matter, though he with the events as they had unfolded, he was prepared for anything.
