I don't want to do crypto because I remember when 1 BTC = $10 USD and I don't want to buy BTC now they're they're thousands of dollars each. Besides, you have a hard time turning it into "real money" (otherwise we'd hear about people that hoarded them when they were $10 and are now billionaires), unless you're fine with only being able to spend it on the handful of things that take it.

If you're willing to go through identity verification(no different than stock exchanges) its really not difficult at all. I've cashed out a total of $15k this year from crypto as I believe in taking profits at reasonable points. If you think volume is a concern its really not for bitcoin at this point, though it is if you're mainly planning on trading small marketcap altcoins.
