A cryptocurrency based on delegated proof of stake as opposed to proof of work, in which the top 51 pools mint new Ark daily. This is an equivalent to mining; however the benefit is saving computational power. Currently a young coin, the developers seek to create interoperability between blockchains and integrate ipfs & ipdb.
If you wish to speculate on the future of this coin, do substantiate your claims- let's keep 8/biz/ free of FUD and hype.
Anons over at 4/biz/ invested together to create a staking pool, but I'm hoping a few crossposters fed up with 4/biz/ can find their way here. Currently, the /biz/ delegate is biz_classic headed by two public figures (that became so) from HWNDU.
The story so far:
>anon, by the name of magnet, gets the idea to create a delegate for ARK
>anons at 4/biz/ decide its a good idea
>/biz/ delegate is made
>over 6 days, anons invest and reach the top 51 staking pools eligible to mint new Ark
>the first day of staking, a faith payout was done to assure people he would not run off with the funds
>the next week (06/26/2017), an entire week of staking (roughly $1500 of Ark) was sent to one whale address
>for the entire day the delegate said nothing to explain the situation and /biz/ creates a new delegate
>biz_classic is made, headed by Uncle Chang and Moonman from HWNDU, with the assurance to their voters that they are risking their reputation (their personal information was made public by news reporting of HWNDU)
>most of the original voters from biz delegate move over to biz_classic
>biz_classic reaches top 51 and is currently staking
